There are so many great sloppy joe sides to choose from and it's fun to mix things up every now and then. In this blog post, we will list what we think is the best food to serve with sloppy joes!

    WHAT ARE SLOPPY JOES?

Sloppy Joes are a meaty ground beef dish with tomato sauce, onion, and green pepper. It is served on toasted buns as sandwiches or open face. My favorite sloppy joe recipe by far is pictured above and it's so good.

Sloppy joes are also commonly called "joe's sandwich." The dish is said to have gotten its name from the way it looks when it is served. The ingredients are cooked together until the beef is browned and then it is served on toasted buns as either a sandwich or open face.

Our family loves sloppy joes, I mean who doesn't. You can customize it the way you like with different ingredients in the sauce. Homemade sauce is always better than store-bought.

Some people think that serving something soft, like mashed potatoes, baked beans, veggie sides or mac and cheese, would be a great option because it will go well with the sauce of the sandwich.

Others prefer crispier options such as rice, potato chips, tater tots, sweet potato fries, deep fried or air fryer onion rings, pasta salad, macaroni salad or fruit salad recipe.
