Green beans are a classic side. These Parmesan green beans are so full of flavor, they beat classic by a long shot! Cooking them in the air fryer is genius! Air Fryer green beans are crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and rich in taste. If you're looking for a new way to prepare an all-time favorite side dish or appetizer, this recipe will do just that - and then some!

Do you have picky kids?  Well, this recipe will go down well with even the most discerning children. Cooking with your air fryer allows you to prepare a healthier meal without sacrificing flavor.

This piece of kitchen equipment uses circulating hot air to cook food, and it does it quickly! Using steam pressure, the air fryer can cook up foods more effectively than an oven or other cooking methods.

You'll also find that they are less greasy than fried foods because there is no oil used!

What are you waiting for? It's time to start cooking!

What kind of butter should I use

Almost any butter can be used in this recipe - but for the best taste, we recommend that you use high-quality butter.  I use salted butter. When using unsalted butter or margarine, make sure to season with salt and prior to cooking.

How do I pick fresh green beans

Pick green beans whose ends are bright and not withered. You can test for freshness by trying to snap the stem - if it is soft, the vegetable is over-ripe and you should try another one!

If you want them to last longer, store them in a plastic bag with holes or make sure that they are completely dry before storing. Keep them sealed in the refrigerator and use them within two days of purchase.

How do I prepare Parmesan green beans

Preparing these little green veggies is easy peasy! Wash your hands first then trim both ends of the green beans. I also like to remove any strings in the beans. Make sure that there are no brown spots on the skin and rinse them thoroughly before placing them in a strainer.

Can I prepare Parmesan green beans ahead

Yes - you can place prepared but uncooked parmesan green beans into an airtight container and keep them in the fridge for up to 2 days. Make sure that they are covered with water and store in an area which is coldest!

Can I use frozen green beans

Yes, you can! Frozen green beans are a staple in my freezer because they don't take long to prepare and they taste great. I always try to have a bag ready for when I feel like preparing a quick meal. Just remember that frozen vegetables will require more time in the air fryer - but there's nothing to worry about as you can set the timer

How do I reheat air fryer green beans

You can reheat air fryer green beans by placing them in an oven safe dish and heating them up at 200℉ in the oven. Keep an eye on them so that they don't burn.

Alternatively, you could also place the container with the green beans straight into the microwave without need to heat up the house.

Also, reheat in the air fryer at 350 degrees for 2 to 3 minutes until warm.

How to store cooked Parmesan green beans

You can store your cooked Parmesan green beans in a sealed container in the refrigerator for three days. They may start to wilt after that time, but this does not affect their taste!

Why should you invest in an air fryer

Air fryers are compact kitchen appliances which help you cook tasty and healthy food quickly! Air Fryers help you make crispy food like deep fried without all the fat.

Why didn't my air fryer green beans get crispy

If your green beans didn't get crispy, there could be several reasons for it. First, make sure that you preheat your air fryer to 370 degrees Fahrenheit.

Also, note that frozen vegetables will require more time in the air fryer because they need to thaw before cooking. Another reason they might not have gotten crispy is they were overcrowded in your air fryer basket.

Try to not overcrowd your basket.

Step 3. Air fry at 370ºF for 10-12 minutes or until beans are tender, adjusting at midway point.

    Step 4. Serve and Enjoy
