Air fryer cabbage is a totally new way to enjoy this classic vegetable. Cooked in just minutes, this cabbage is perfectly seasoned, tender on the inside, and has a nice browned, crunch on the outside edges.

Cabbaged cooked in an air fryer and served in a glass bowl. The cabbage is garnished with chopped parsley.

Cabbage is one of my favorite vegetables. I use it in everything from side dishes to stew. Even in homemade sauerkraut. Lately, I've been loving making them in the air fryer. It's an entirely new way to enjoy this tasty vegetable.

    Air Fryer Cabbage

    Ingredients

It only takes a handful of ingredients to make this recipe. You probably have all of them except for the cabbage in your kitchen right now.

    • Cabbage
    • Olive oil
    • Salt
    • Pepper

See the recipe card at the end of the post for quantities.

    Instructions

In just 3 simple steps, you'll have this dish all ready to be devoured. You'll be in and out of the kitchen in no time.

    Step 1: Prep the Cabbage

Cut the cabbage into quarters and then remove the core. Then chop the cabbage into 1-inch pieces.

    Step 2: Season the Cabbage

Place the cabbage in a bowl along with the olive oil, salt, and pepper. Stir well to coat the cabbage.

    Step 3: Air Fry

Air fry the cabbage in 2 batches so as not to crowd the air fryer. Air fry at 400 degrees fro 16 to 18 minutes, making sure to stir it a few times to ensure even cooking without burning.

Hint: Be sure to stir the cabbage while cooking it. Just shaking the basket won't move it around enough to ensure even cooking.

    Tips

It doesn't get much easier than this recipe. I only have a couple of tips for it.

    • Preheat your air fryer. It's a myth that you don't have to preheat air fryers.
    • Be sure to stir the cabbage a few times while it cooks to really move it around. Simply shaking the basket won't work.
