    Tips

Here are a few tip for making perfect Oreo Cheesecake Cookies easily:

    • Flatten the Cookies. It’s important to gently press the dough into a disk before baking. They will not spread out when baking and you don't want them to bake as round balls.
    • Size of the Cookies. These cookies won’t expand or spread significantly while baking.
    • Crumble Don't Crush. Be sure to crumble the Oreo Cookies rather than crushing them into too fine pieces. Large crumbs work best for garnishing the tops of the cookies.
    • Room Temperature Ingredients. Make sure your cream cheese and butter are at room temperature to ensure a smoother dough and to avoid lumps in your cookies. All you need to do is take them out from the fridge 30 minutes before you plan to mix the cookies.
    • Watch While Cooking. Keep an eye on the cookies while they're in the oven as you're looking for a slightly golden edge and soft center.

The key to getting that perfect cookie texture is to use room temperature ingredients. Make sure your cream cheese and butter are softened before mixing them together and avoid over-baking your cookies, keep an eye on them while in the oven.

Do I need an electric mixer to make these cookies?

It’s not necessary, but an electric mixer will make things easier. You can use a wooden spoon or silicone spatula to mix all the ingredients together, but it will take more effort and time.
