Chicken alfredo is the classic, creamy pasta and chicken dish that we all know and love. This dish is a favorite among many families all over the world, but sometimes, it's hard to know what to serve with chicken alfredo.

That's what we're talking about today. We have some great pairing ideas that will make your next chicken alfredo dinner one that everyone will flip over.

    What is Chicken Alfredo?

It's a dish that consists of chicken, white cream sauce, and generally fettuccine pasta.

This dish traditionally uses fettuccine pasta, but these days people make it with all kinds of different pasta shapes. We used manicotti noodles to make our chicken manicotti alfredo and it tastes great if I don't say so myself.

The sauce itself is made with cream, parmesan cheese, and herbs that vary depending on the individual tastes of the cook making it. Have a look at our recipe. It's so good. Some common cheeses added to the sauce include parmesan, parmigiano-reggiano, pecorino, and pecorino romano cheese.

    What goes with chicken alfredo?

Chicken alfredo pasta can be combined with many different options such as grilled asparagus, garlic bread, vegetable salad, green beans, and grilled shrimp.

The best part is the ideas are endless. Parmesan potatoes are a common favorite of my husband and I love our alfredo meatballs and alfredo chicken recipes. All taste divine if you enjoy alfredo sauce.

How to Make Chicken Alfredo Even Better

Almost everything tastes better with bacon or ham, in our loaded alfredo recipe, you can sprinkle some on the top of each plate. Ensuring that every bite is full of sweet, buttery, and salty flavor. Bacon-wrapped chicken thighs are a great treat to add to this dish as well.

How do you prepare Chicken alfredo?

It all starts with boiling the pasta in a large pot of salted water, the chicken can be cooked with a combination of oil and butter for golden crispness in a frying pan, and finely sliced to size. You can also serve leftover chicken or use a rotisserie chicken to make things easier and quicker.

Once the pasta and chicken are ready make your sauce, add the alfredo sauce to the skillet and toss it all up.

    Easy peasy.

How healthy is chicken alfredo pasta?

I love chicken alfredo with a passion, but protein is about the only thing it has going for it. Chicken alfredo is a creamy dish which means it's full of fat and calories. But hey, all things in moderation, right?

What drinks go well with Chicken Alfredo Pasta?

What best pairs with Alfredo pasta are fruity but dry white wines, acidic and light red wines, or non-alcoholic beverages. These drinks can be found at the table, for any pasta lover.

    • Soda
    • Wine
    • Ice tea
    • Sparkling water
    • Lemonade
    • Juice
