    Instant Pot Asparagus

    This instant pot asparagus cooks up perfectly tender and delicious every time. Loaded with parmesan cheese and garlic, it's a delicious side perfect with anything.

    Asparagus is a classic side that goes so well with everything from beef to fish. This version is even more flavorful and so easy to make.

    Instant Pot Asparagus

    This was inspired by my other parmesan asparagus recipe on this site and pairs well with this amazing roast beef recipe.

    Ingredients

    This recipe only takes a few simple ingredients to make. You'll find them all easily at your local grocery store.

    • Asparagus
    • Water
    • Butter
    • Minced garlic
    • Salt
    • Pepper
    • Grated parmesan cheese

    Instructions

    Making this recipe is just as easy as shopping for the ingredients. It only takes a few easy steps.

    Step 1: Prep the Asparagus

    Trim the bottoms of the asparagus to be sure they fit in the instant pot.

    Step 2: Add All Ingredients Except Asparagus

    Add the water, butter, garlic, salt, and pepper to the instant pot and stir.

    Step 3: Melt Butter and Add Asparagus

    Turn the instant pot to the saute setting and heat until the butter is melted. Then, add the asparagus in a criss-cross pattern.

    Step 4: Cook the Asparagus

    Place the lid on the instant pot and cook on high pressure for 1 minute. Release the pressure, remove the asparagus, sprinkle with parmesan cheese, and serve.

    Hint: Use the manual release pressure option for this recipe. The asparagus is finished after 1 minute.

    Substitutions

    • Margarin - If you don't have butter, margarin will work.
    • Bottle Minced Garlic - You can use minced garlic from the spice aisle in place of freshly minced garlic.

    • Be sure to arrange the asparagus in the instant pot in a criss-cross pattern to ensure even cooking.

    Ingredients
      

    • 1 pound asparagus fresh
    • ½ cup water
    • 4 tablespoon butter
    • 2 tablespoon garlic minced
    • ½ teaspoon salt
    • ¼ teaspoon pepper
    • 2 tablespoon Parmesan cheese grated, optional

    Instructions
     

    • Get out and measure your ingredients.

    • Add asparagus.
