If you haven’t made Cookie Dough Stuffed Oreos, what are you waiting for? Out of every stuffed Oreo cookie I've tried, this is my all-time favorite. I’m also weak for a good chocolate chip cookie. This recipe is perfect for special occasions, bake sales and a thoughtful gift. When I make these at home, I constantly wonder how they disappear so fast.
I love the creamy indulgence of edible cookie dough. It pairs so well with the Oreos. When you bite into the chocolate shell, the cookie is still crisp while the filling is rich and chocolatey. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it!

Ingredients
The 5 ingredients below are all you need to make these cookie dough Oreos. They are easy-to-find items that won’t break the bank.
- Oreo cookies: Original Oreos or double stuffed will work just fine for this recipe. Store brand is great too if you prefer them!
- Edible cookie dough: I used Pillsbury Big Deluxe Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough for these cookies but any edible cookie dough is fine.
- Semi-sweet chocolate chips: This is what I use for the chocolate coating. They melt easily and aren’t too sweet. I find that dark chocolate chips are a great alternative.
- Coconut oil: This helps to thin the chocolate to make dipping easier and also gives it a shiny look.
- Rainbow sprinkles: I love rainbow sprinkles as a cute decoration. Use your favorite colors!

- Caramel: Add caramel bits to the cookie dough and drizzle the finished Oreos with your favorite caramel sauce. Garnish with sea salt for the perfect combo.
How to Make Cookie Dough Stuffed Oreos
Here are the instructions on how to make these stuffed Oreos. Before you get started, make sure you have everything that you need ready to go including a parchment-lined baking sheet to place the cookies after you dip them.
Step 1: Stuff the Oreos. Place a piece of cookie dough onto an Oreo half. Sandwich the Oreos back together with the cookie dough in the middle. Set them aside to prepare the chocolate.

Step 3 Dunk the cookie sandwiches. Grab a fork and place a cookie on it. Carefully dip each cookie dough sandwich into the melted chocolate.
Step 4: Let it drip. Tap off the excess on the side of the bowl and place it onto the parchment. Repeat this process for the remaining Oreos.
Step 5: Add sprinkles. Quickly top each cookie with rainbow sprinkles before the chocolate sets.
Step 6: Set and serve. Allow the Oreos to sit on the counter for a couple of minutes. Store them in the refrigerator or serve immediately!

Recipe FAQ
Yes. Vegetable oil, butter, or shortening are all great substitutions for coconut oil. You will get the same result!
For safety reasons, the package must be marked as “edible” or “safe to eat raw.” Do not use any variety of cookie dough that isn’t clearly labeled.
I highly recommend that you keep them in the refrigerator to ensure that the chocolate coating doesn’t melt.
