A combination of ingredients that totally compliment each other, it uses Oreo deliciousness in place of the traditional ladyfinger. This is an amped up version of the classic and let me tell you, it does not disappoint.
This was inspired by my chocolate peanut butter dessert on this site, and pairs well with this bone-in prime rib roast.

- Cold Mascarpone Cheese: Adds richness and real tiramisu creaminess.
- Brewed Espresso or Strong Coffee: Adds wonderful coffee flavor.

- Crushed Oreos & Cocoa Powder: For a wonderful presentation.
See the recipe card below for the exact quantities of each ingredient.
Variations
- Swap Liqueur: Use hazelnut or chocolate liqueur instead of coffee liqueur.
- Another Layer: Add caramel drizzle or chocolate chips between layers.
- Add Chocolate Flavor: Add cocoa powder directly into the cream mixture to taste.
- Different Topping: Add a light dusting of powdered sugar or a drizzle of chocolate syrup instead of cocoa powder. Instead of Oreo cookies use crushed chocolate-covered espresso beans or chocolate curls.
- Swap Oreos: Try a different Oreo flavor for variety.
- Swap Mascarpone: Use cream cheese with 2-4 tblsp heavy cream blended until smooth creating a slightly tangier and less traditional dish.
Instructions
This layered dessert comes together in four simple stages: whip, dip, layer, and chill. It's beginner-friendly and nearly foolproof.

In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream with sugar and vanilla extract until medium-stiff peaks form. Add mascarpone and mix on low until just combined and smooth.
Combine espresso and coffee liqueur (if using) in a shallow bowl. Briefly dip each Oreo into the coffee mixture, about 1 second per side.
Arrange a single layer of dipped Oreos in an 8x8-inch baking dish (about 16 cookies). Spread half the cream mixture over the cookies and smooth the top.

Repeat with another layer of dipped Oreos and the remaining cream.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, overnight, until set.

Before serving, top with a light dusting of cocoa powder.

Add crushed Oreos, if desired. Slice into squares and serve chilled.
