These sliders are everything you want in a quick, crowd-pleasing recipe. The combination of buffalo sauce and ranch dressing creates the perfect balance of heat and creaminess, while the soft rolls soak up all that flavor. They're easy enough for weeknights but impressive enough for game day or parties.

This recipe was inspired by my slow cooker buffalo chicken meatballs and baked buffalo chicken bites on this site, and pairs well with this jalapeno coleslaw or my grandma's coleslaw.

How to Make Buffalo Chicken Sliders

These buffalo chicken sliders are perfect for busy days, like our French dip sliders, simple to prepare and bake in just a few easy steps. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and spray an 9 x 13 casserole dish lightly with nonstick spray.

In a large bowl, combine the rotisserie chicken breast, buffalo wing sauce, and ranch dressing until smooth, and all chicken is coated.

Slice sliders in half and place the bottom half of your sliders into your casserole dish. Brush with melted butter and bake for 5 minutes.

Carefully layer your ingredients over the bottom buns, starting with the sliced cheese, buffalo chicken mixture, then sprinkle the shredded cheese over the chicken, and finally place the bun tops on last.

In a small bowl, combine your melted butter with the garlic powder and brush it over the bun tops.

Baked sliders in pan with a sprinkling of chopped parsley

Bake in your preheated oven uncovered for 15-20 minutes or until the tops are toasted and the sliders are heated throughout, and the cheese is melted. Sprinkle with parsley.

Wait 5 minutes, slice the sliders and serve!

    Buffalo Chicken Sliders Expert Tips

    • Shred chicken finely: Smaller pieces help the filling stay evenly distributed and easier to eat
    • Use a serrated knife to slice rolls: Prevents squishing the sliders when cutting
    • Layer cheese both under and over chicken: Creates a barrier that prevents soggy bread
    • Use foil for softer tops: Cover while baking if you prefer less crispiness
    • Lightly press down on sliders before baking: Helps everything stick together for cleaner slices
    • Bake in center rack: Ensures even heat distribution
    • Rotate pan halfway through baking: Promotes even browning
    • Use fresh herbs at the end: Brightens flavor and adds visual appeal.

    Storage Directions

Room Temperature: These sliders can sit at room temperature while serving for up to 2 hours. After that, refrigerate to maintain food safety.

Refrigerator: Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. For best results, keep them tightly sealed to prevent drying out.

Freezer: Wrap sliders individually or as a whole batch in plastic wrap and foil. Freeze for up to 2 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before reheating but texture will change.

Reheat: Reheat in the oven at 300ยฐF for 10-15 minutes until warmed through. Cover loosely with foil to prevent over-browning. Microwave for quick reheating, but oven gives best texture.

Make Ahead: Assemble sliders up to 24 hours in advance, cover tightly, and refrigerate. Bake fresh before serving for best flavor and texture.
