Ingredients

  • 12 Hawaiian slider rolls still connected
  • 6-8 slices cheddar cheese to prevent soggy buns, if desired
  • 3 cups shredded rotisserie chicken still warm or baked chicken breasts or leftover chicken instead
  • ½ cup buffalo wing sauce mild or hot
  • ½ cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup Colby Jack cheese shredded, or cheddar
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons parsley chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly coat a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, combine the shredded rotisserie chicken, buffalo wing sauce, and ranch dressing. Stir until the chicken is evenly coated.
  • Place the bottom half of the slider buns in the prepared baking dish. Brush lightly with melted butter and bake for 5 minutes to lightly toast.
  • Layer the cheese slices over the toasted buns, followed by the buffalo chicken mixture. Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the chicken, then place the top buns over the filling.
  • In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and garlic powder. Brush the mixture generously over the tops of the buns.
  • Bake uncovered for 15–20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown, the cheese is melted, and the sliders are heated through. Sprinkle with fresh parsley, if desired.
  • Let the sliders rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Shred chicken finely: Smaller pieces help the filling stay evenly distributed and easier to eat
  • Use a serrated knife to slice rolls: Prevents squishing the sliders when cutting
  • Layer cheese both under and over chicken: Creates a barrier that prevents soggy bread
  • Use foil for softer tops: Cover while baking if you prefer less crispiness
  • Lightly press down on sliders before baking: Helps everything stick together for cleaner slices
  • Bake in center rack: Ensures even heat distribution
  • Rotate pan halfway through baking: Promotes even browning
  • Use fresh herbs at the end: Brightens flavor and adds visual appeal.
