Ingredients

  • 12 Hawaiian slider rolls still connected
  • 6-8 slices cheddar cheese to prevent soggy buns, if desired
  • 3 cups shredded rotisserie chicken still warm or baked chicken breasts or leftover chicken instead
  • ½ cup buffalo wing sauce mild or hot
  • ½ cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup Colby Jack cheese shredded, or cheddar
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons parsley chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and spray an 9 x 13 casserole dish lightly with nonstick spray.
  • In a large bowl, combine the rotisserie chicken breast, buffalo wing sauce, and ranch dressing until smooth, and all chicken is coated.
  • Slice and place the bottom half of your sliders into the bottom of your casserole dish.
  • Bake for 5 minutes to toast, if desired.
  • Carefully layer your ingredients over the bottom buns, starting with cheese slices, if using, buffalo chicken mixture, then sprinkle the cheese over the chicken, and finally place the bun tops on last.
  • In a small bowl, combine your melted butter with the garlic powder and brush it over the bun tops.
  • Bake in your preheated oven uncovered for 15-20 minutes or until the tops are toasted and the sliders are heated throughout, and the cheese is melted. Sprinkle with parsley.
  • Wait 5 minutes, slice the sliders and serve!

Notes

  • Shred chicken finely: Smaller pieces help the filling stay evenly distributed and easier to eat
  • Use a serrated knife to slice rolls: Prevents squishing the sliders when cutting
  • Layer cheese both under and over chicken: Creates a barrier that prevents soggy bread
  • Use foil for softer tops: Cover while baking if you prefer less crispiness
  • Lightly press down on sliders before baking: Helps everything stick together for cleaner slices
  • Bake in center rack: Ensures even heat distribution
  • Rotate pan halfway through baking: Promotes even browning
  • Use fresh herbs at the end: Brightens flavor and adds visual appeal.
