This Cajun pretzels recipe uses simple pantry ingredients to create a bold, crunchy snack that's perfect for sharing. The buttery coating helps the seasoning stick to every pretzel, giving you consistent flavor in every bite.

This was inspired by my butter toffee pretzels and hot honey pretzels on this site, and pairs well with these no bake pretzel cookies.

    • ● ½ cup salted butter

    • ● 1 teaspoon salt
    • ● 1 ½ teaspoons chili powder
    • ● 6 cups mini pretzels

    Instructions

    • Preheat your oven to 350°F.
    • Melt your butter in a microwave safe dish. Start with about 30 seconds and then continue adding 15 seconds until the butter is completely melted.
    • Stir together the melted butter, cajun seasoning, salt, and chili powder.

    • Transfer the pretzels to a 9x13 inch baking sheet and cook for 12 minutes. Let your pretzels cool for a few minutes before transferring them to a serving bowl. Enjoy!

    Notes

    ● Your butter will melt much faster if you cut it into small cubes. This will also help prevent the butter from splattering as it melts.
    ● Any kind of cajun seasoning will work for this recipe, so feel free to use your favorite brand!
    ● The chili powder adds just a hint of rich, smoky sweetness to the pretzels and really compliments the cajun seasoning. If you want to add a little extra heat to your pretzels then you can replace the chili powder with chipotle chili powder.
    ● Once your pretzels have cooled to room temperature, you can store them on the counter in a bag or airtight container for up to a week.
    ● Pretzel sticks and traditional pretzel twists both work great for this recipe. We did feel like pretzel twists had a better pretzel to seasoning ratio.
