Ingredients

  • ● ½ cup salted butter
  • ● 1 tablespoon cajun seasoning
  • ● 1 teaspoon salt
  • ● 1 ½ teaspoons chili powder
  • ● 6 cups mini pretzels

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  • Melt your butter in a microwave safe dish. Start with about 30 seconds and then continue adding 15 seconds until the butter is completely melted.
  • Stir together the melted butter, cajun seasoning, salt, and chili powder.
  • Toss your pretzels in the butter mixture and make sure they are evenly coated in butter and spices.
  • Transfer the pretzels to a 9x13 inch baking sheet and cook for 12 minutes. Let your pretzels cool for a few minutes before transferring them to a serving bowl. Enjoy!

Notes

● Your butter will melt much faster if you cut it into small cubes. This will also help prevent the butter from splattering as it melts.
● Any kind of cajun seasoning will work for this recipe, so feel free to use your favorite brand!
● The chili powder adds just a hint of rich, smoky sweetness to the pretzels and really compliments the cajun seasoning. If you want to add a little extra heat to your pretzels then you can replace the chili powder with chipotle chili powder.
● Once your pretzels have cooled to room temperature, you can store them on the counter in a bag or airtight container for up to a week.
● Pretzel sticks and traditional pretzel twists both work great for this recipe. We did feel like pretzel twists had a better pretzel to seasoning ratio.
