Why You’ll Love This Reese’s Pie Recipe

    • Easy no-bake treat: This is a summer favorite because it is a delicious no-bake pie. No oven needed!
    • Only 6 ingredients: With 6 ingredients, you will have a rich peanut butter treat in no time!
    • Prep takes 10 minutes: It only takes 10 minutes to prepare this peanut butter cup pie, so it’s the perfect make-ahead recipe.

    Ingredients

Here are all the components you’ll need to make the best no-bake Reese’s peanut butter pie. Everything is common and inexpensive so it’s the perfect treat to make on a tight budget.

Ingredients for a Reese's peanut butter pie laid out on a gray surface before preparing.
    • Cream Cheese: It lends a subtle tangy flavor and a rich texture to the pie filling. Make sure it is softened to room temperature before you add it to prevent lumps.
    • Peanut Butter: Any variety of creamy peanut butter will work here. You may even use the Reese’s brand peanut butter if you like.
    • Powdered Sugar: The sweetness of the powdered sugar balances the tangy cream cheese and slightly salty peanut butter. It mixes seamlessly without any grittiness.
    • Whipped Topping: I like to fold in Cool Whip to make the peanut butter mixture light and luscious. Ensure it is thawed before you add it.
    • Graham cracker crust: Any store-bought graham cracker crust is great or you can make it yourself!
    • Peanut butter cups and chocolate syrup: Chopped peanut butter cups and a drizzle of chocolate syrup add texture and create a lovely presentation. Plus, chocolate and peanut butter are a wonderful match!

See the recipe card below for exact ingredient amounts, nutritional information, and detailed instructions.

    Variations

    • Peanut butter and jelly: Spread strawberry jam or preserves over the top of the finished pie to make this recipe taste like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
    • Peanut butter and banana: Add fresh banana slices to the top of the pie as well as a peanut butter topping drizzle for a tasty banana version.
    • Peanut butter and pretzel: Use crushed pretzels as a garnish for salty flavor to compliment the peanut butter.

    How to Make Reese’s Pie

Here are the instructions on how to make Reese’s peanut butter cup pie. It’s very easy to put together and it’s also a no-bake recipe!

A white mixing bowl containing cream cheese, powdered sugar, and creamy peanut butter on the counter.

Step 1: Make the peanut butter mixture. Add the cream cheese, peanut butter, and powdered sugar to a large bowl. Beat the ingredients until they are well mixed and smooth using an electric mixer.

Step 2: Add whipped topping. Fold in the whipped topping until it is fully incorporated.

Step 3: Transfer and chill. Pour the peanut butter filling into the graham cracker crust. Spread the top evenly and then place it in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours to firm up.

A Reese's peanut butter pie drizzled with chocolate and topped with mini peanut butter cups, next to a glass of milk, a striped towel, and a wooden board with more mini peanut butter cups on it.

Step 4: Garnish and serve. Top the chilled pie with chopped peanut butter cups and a chocolate drizzle. Enjoy a slice cold.

Hint: You may use a hand mixer or a stand mixer — whatever you have in your kitchen.

    Storage

    • Refrigeration: Store leftovers tightly covered with plastic wrap in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
    • Freezing: Cover it tightly and freeze it for up to 3 months. Thaw it in the refrigerator before cutting a slice.
    • Make Ahead of Time: Prepare the peanut butter pie the night before and let it chill in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve. You can do this 2-3 days before serving.

    Serving Suggestions

    • Add a drizzle of Banana Syrup for extra sweetness and banana flavor.
    • Make a peanut butter-inspired meal and enjoy Peanut Butter Bacon Burger. Finish the meal with a Butterfinger Shot or Snickers Shot.

    Recipe Tips

    • Try chilling overnight: The longer the Reese's pie sits in the refrigerator, the better. It helps the flavors to come together and ensures it is fully set.
    • Use a sharp knife: For even slices, make sure your knife is sharp. You may also wipe it off in between slices to keep them clean.
    • Use smooth peanut butter: Chunky peanut butter will change the texture and natural peanut butter will separate and make the filling oily.
