Tips
- It’s better to remove these cookies from the oven a little underdone than overcooked.
- Be sure you let your cookies cook for 5 minutes on the cookie sheet. The carryover cooking time is what makes them bake to perfection.
- While you can use liquid or gel food coloring, gel food coloring tends to deliver a more vibrant color.
- If your cookies are spreading too much, simply allow the cookie dough to rest in the fridge for about 20 minutes before forming the balls of dough.
FAQ
You can double or even triple this recipe. The amounts remain the same.
Remove the cookies from the oven just before they're finished baking and let them continue to bake on the cookie sheet.
A resealable dish like Tupperware is the best way. It keeps all extra air away from your cookies.

My son asked me for green cookies and I found your recipe. Your pictures looked great and my son was excited to try them. I had no idea these cookies would taste as good as they do. I hid them from the kids or they easily would have eaten them all. My daughter wants these cookies made pink and I promised her I would next time. Thank you for a great recipe my kids and everyone else loves. Well done KD ❤️
