    Kahlua and Hot Chocolate

Did you know that Kahlua was originally created by two lifelong friends in Veracruz Mexico back in 1936? They were curious about what would happen if they mixed alcohol and coffee together. And, thanks to their curiosity now we are all great to enjoy a warm tasty mug of this adult beverage.

    Ingredients

You only need four ingredients to help you make this easy and delicious Kahlua and hot chocolate recipe. One quick trip to the grocery store and liquor store and you will be ready to enjoy this festive drink.

    • whole milk
    • white chocolate chips
    • coffee liqueur
    • vanilla extract

See the recipe card for quantities.

How to Make Kahlua Hot Chocolate

This easy Kahlua and hot chocolate recipe can be ready to drink once you follow these two separate steps. You will be so glad that you made this boozy warm drink.

Step 1: Melt the chocolate chips

Place the milk and chocolate chips in a medium-sized saucepot over medium-low heat. Stir constantly until the chocolate chips are melted and it comes to a simmer, immediately take off the heat.

Step 2: Add in liqueur and vanilla

Add the coffee liqueur and vanilla, stir to combine. Pour into glasses and top with your favorite hot chocolate toppings.
