Dalgona coffee, or commonly known as cloud coffee or whipped coffee, is all over social media right now, and for good reason! This adult Spiked Dalgona Coffee Recipe is super fast and really delicious. I have a regular Dalgona coffee recipe as well, but I just had to make one that has a little kick to it, and dare I say I think I like it even more!

I am an iced coffee freak! I love iced coffee so much and this recipe curbs those cravings and it is less expensive than going to Starbucks or even Dunkin. I can whip this up (see what I did there..) in just a few minutes in the morning and I am ready to go without even leaving my house..putting pants on... getting two children dressed and putting them in the car.. yeah, it's great.

The good thing about this recipe is it is so versatile. You can really make it your own and add really whatever you want to it! I love adding coffee syrups and flavors to mine.

    Spiked Dalgona Coffee Recipe

You know what they say, right? It has to be 5 o'clock somewhere and that somewhere just so happens to be right in your very own kitchen. If you're looking for a boost with an extra "shot" of surprise, this cold coffee recipe is going to wow your tastebuds time and time again.

I love that I can make this anytime that I want and never worry about the flavor or taste. I've made this when we've had brunch with friends and it's always a hit, no matter what!

    Experiment time!

I encourage you guys to experiment with this recipe and let me know what you come up with! I am always looking for new ways to change up the flavor. If you come up with an awesome recipe, post it below and let me know! Also, remember to pin this recipe for later.

Ingredients needed to make cold brew whipped coffee

    • 2 tablespoons instant coffee
    • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
    • 2 tablespoons boiling water
    • 2 tablespoons Bailey's Irish Cream
    • 2 tablespoons Kahlua Coffee Liquor
    • 2 cups milk or a non-dairy option

How to Make Spiked Dalgona Coffee

    • Combine the instant coffee, sugar, and water into a medium bowl and using a hand mixer mix for 3-4 minutes or until the mixture is light in color and fluffy.
    • Prepare two glasses by filling each about ½ full with ice and fill about ¾ of the way full of milk.
    • Add in one tablespoon of Bailey's and Kahlua to each cup (or more to your preference I am not here to judge) and mix well.
    • Equally, divide the coffee mixture between the two glasses and mix well to combine all the ingredients and serve!

What is so special about Dalgona coffee?

It's so viral right now, it's crazy! People also refer to this as "quarantine coffee" because that is when it became popular for the very first time.

It's special because it's delicious and versatile. It's full of flavor and caffeine and can easily be whipped up in a short amount of time. And to be honest, it really does take as it came straight from Starbucks or another high-end coffee store.

Can I make Dalgona coffee without a whisk?

Yep, all you need is a fork to make it happen. You're going to have to really whisk it, but it's possible to do!

Is Dalgona coffee hot or cold?

Surprisingly this can be enjoyed hot or cold! People think that it has to be cold but you can drink it hot if you want. It's totally up to you!

    Can you refrigerate Dalgona coffee?

Yep! If you make the froth and realize that you have some leftover, you can pop it in the fridge and save it for your next cup. Why waste that goodness if you don't have to?

Why is my Dalgona coffee so bitter?

You might not be adding in enough sugar. It really does come down to the taste and flavor that you prefer. Some people like sweet coffee while others like it to have a bit more of that bitter taste. Whatever you prefer, you can change up the flavor by easily changing up the ingredients that you add.

    What Dalgona coffee taste like?

People are drawn to this coffee because it's typically a bit sweeter and it has a really nice and creamy texture. Some even think that it's comparable to a meringue, in a sense.

Should we mix Dalgona coffee before drinking?

Yes, you should. BUT don't do it before getting some really cool pictures! The frothy top is there for looks but when you're drinking it, you need to stir it in to get that taste and flavor throughout.

A common rule of this coffee is that you have to take a ton of pictures and flood the internet with them!

It's time to give your tastebuds a true treat. This simple coffee recipe can either be an iced coffee or a hot coffee, totally your choice. As long as you take the time to make this simple coffee recipe, you're going to love the taste and flavor!

Be certain to make this over and over again so that you get your fill before the next coffee hack comes out!
