Ingredients
With the 3 simple ingredients, you can create a flavorful meal that the whole family will love. I like to grab extra Italian dressing packets and cans of soup so I can make this whenever I want to!

- Pork loin roast: I use about 3-4 pound pork roast for this recipe. It’s boneless and easy to shred and serve once it’s cooked.
- Italian dressing mix: This adds fantastic flavor to the pork! It’s filled with herbs and spices that pair beautifully. I love this shortcut!
- Cream of chicken soup: I use a can of cream of chicken soup to add moisture and not compromise the bold flavor. It also creates a wonderful gravy with the pork juices that you may serve on top.
See the recipe card below for exact ingredient amounts, nutritional information, and detailed instructions.
Variations
- Ranch pork roast: For a different flavor profile, try this recipe using a ranch seasoning packet instead of Italian.
- Onion pork roast: In place of Italian seasoning, use onion soup mix to flavor the slow cooker pork roast.
- Cream of celery pork roast: This recipe with cream of celery soup instead of cream of chicken for a twist.
How to Make Slow Cooker Pork Roast
Here are the instructions on how to make the best slow cooker pork roast ever! There’s not a lot to do before you set the ingredients up in the pot. Season the pork and make the sauce and the slow cooker does the rest!

Step 1: Season the pork. Sprinkle one of the Italian dressing packets on the pork loin. Rub and cover each side with the seasoning. Then, place it into the bottom of the slow cooker.

Step 2: Sear the pork. Heat a cast iron or large skillet over medium-high heat with 2 tablespoons of oil. Sear each side for 1-2 minutes for a golden crust.
⭐️ Skip the Sear. This is an optional step that I prefer to brown the outside of the pork and lock in flavors but it's not required. If you need to save some time, place the pork directly in the crockpot after seasoning, add the sauce, and cook.

Step 3: Combine the sauce ingredients. Combine the second Italian dressing mix with the cream of chicken soup in a small bowl with ½ cup of water. Whisk until the ingredients are well combined.

Step 4: Pour over the pork. Pour the sauce mixture directly over the seasoned pork in the slow cooker.

Step 5: Cook. Cover and cook the pork roast for 6-7 hours on low or 4 hours on high.

Step 6: Shred and serve. Once the pork is cooked and tender, shred it and serve it over your favorite side dish like mashed potatoes. Enjoy!
⭐️ Hint: I recommend cooking the pork on low heat if possible. I find that it is more juicy and tender when cooked at a lower temperature. Allow it to cook as long as it needs until it shreds easily with two forks — this means it could reach around 200 degrees F before it’s ready!

Storage Directions
- Storing: Store leftover roast pork in an airtight container for up to 3 days. To freeze, place it in a zipper bag, squeeze out the air, seal it, and store it flat in the freezer for up to 2 months.
- Reheating: Reheat a leftover portion in the microwave or over medium-low heat on the stovetop.
- Make Ahead: Sear and cover the pork in foil, then place it in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours before cooking it. You may also prepare the sauce mixture and store it in the fridge.
Serving Suggestions
This dish makes an easy weeknight meal served up with mashed potatoes, rice, or roasted vegetables to complement the creamy, savory sauce. They work great to soak up all the delicious sauce.
- Pork and potatoes are a classic combination. Try these crispy smashed red potatoes or these savory air fryer garlic potatoes for tasty side dishes.
- Try a veggie, too. I love these Brussel sprouts with bacon and this green beans and corn recipe with this slow cooker pork loin roast.
- Make a rich and delicious dessert like my chewy cream cheese brownies to finish the meal.

Recipe Tips
- Sear the meat: To seal in the juices and add even more depth of flavor to the pork, I suggest searing the outside. This isn’t to cook it, just to add a crust for flavor.
- Trim the fat: If your pork roast has a thick layer of fat, trim some of it off before you season it.
- Make a slurry: To thicken the sauce, you may make a slurry with cornstarch and water to thicken it to your desired consistency.
Recipe FAQs
Absolutely! The cooking time will be slightly different so I recommend having a meat thermometer on hand to ensure it is fully cooked before you shred or slice it.
Of course! Just keep in mind that the broth will add more flavor and salt so adjust the sauce to taste.

Easy Slow Cooker Pork Roast
Ingredients
- 1 3-4 pound pork loin roast
- 2 packets Italian dressing seasoning mix 1 packet for seasoning the pork, 1 packet for the sauce
- 1 10.5- ounce can cream of chicken soup
Instructions
- Rub the pork loin roast with 1 packet of Italian dressing seasoning mix, ensuring it's evenly coated on all sides.
- OPTIONAL STEP: Sear pork loin on all sides to give a golden brown crust and seal in juices. This will require 2 Tablespoons of cooking oil.
- In a small bowl, combine the can of cream of chicken soup with the second packet of Italian dressing seasoning mix and ½ cup water. Stir until smooth and well blended.
- Place the seasoned pork loin in the slow cooker. Pour the creamy Italian sauce over the top, covering the meat as evenly as possible.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours, or until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork. (Alternatively, you can cook on high for 3-4 hours.)
- Once the pork is done, remove it from the slow cooker and let it rest for a few minutes before shredding or slicing. Spoon the creamy sauce over the pork slices for added flavor.
Notes
- Browning the meat: I recommend this extra step to seal in the juices and add even more depth of flavor to the pork. This isn’t to cook it, just to add a crust for flavor.
- Make a gravy: The pork is excellent served with the sauce that forms in the crockpot with the pork. You can make it thicker by adding a cornstarch slurry added at the end.
- Try with a pork shoulder: This dish will also work with a pork shoulder or any other pork roast. The cooking time will be slightly different so I recommend having a meat thermometer on hand to ensure it is fully cooked before you shred or slice it.
