These Sweet Red Pork Chops, named by my son Patrick, are simply terrific! The marinade and final coating on the pork chops is so tasty!
Like our Easy Red Chicken recipe, also named by Patrick, our son, this recipe for Sweet Red Pork Chops is an oldie but a goodie! The marinade is awesome and the red coating is the perfect way to finish off these pork chops. This recipe is a definite keeper.
We eat a lot of pork and chiicken around here. But there are times even we want something different. My go to is always pork chops!
One of my sons favorite meals is our Easy Red Chicken. I decided I would try to recreate those flavors using pork instead of chicken. To be honest I think he likes this version better!
There is SOOOO much flavor in this recipe. The first layer of flavor comes from the marinade. It is filled with some really great flavors!
After refrigerating the chops over night in the marinade they are ready to be baked. After they reach an internal temperature of about 140 degrees you are ready to add that second layer of flavor.
We call is redcoat. It is a delicious sauce that literally coats every part of the pork chop! You dip the chops in the redcoat to thoroughly cover them in the sauce. You then pop them back in the oven for about twenty minutes. It gives the redcoat time to harden, darken, and deepen the flavor!
You will have to let me know if you like the redcoat chicken or pork chops!

Rinse and pat dry your pork chops with paper towel.
Place pork chops inside a resealable bag and pour marinade in. Place bag inside your fridge overnight. Adjust pork chops inside the bag periodically.
When ready to bake turn your oven on to 350 degrees.
Prepare a rimmed baking sheet with tinfoil and a rack coated in cooking spray.
Remove pork chops from marinade and bake, on the rack until done or 140 degrees. Timing will depend on the size of the pork chops. Usually around an hour.
