This Vegas Bomb Shot is incredibly simple but delish! The Red Bull and peach Schnapps create a fizzy and fruity base that is only enhanced by a shot of warm, bold whiskey. This fun drink gets its name because the shot of Crown Royal or “bomb” is dropped into the glass before you drink it and it is supposed to give “up all night partying vibes.”

    • Vegas Bomb Shot

I always recommend Vegas-style bomb shots to anyone who has never had a “bomb” drink before. The sweetness of the Red Bull makes the whole experience less intense but still taste amazing. It’s a quick, impressive drink that’s great for New Year's Eve celebrations and beyond.

    Why You’ll Love This Recipe

    • It’s a flavorful drink: All of the ingredients work so well together. From the bubbly Red Bull to the fruity Schnapps and the smooth Crown Royal whiskey—they complement each other to give you great flavor without overpowering.
    • It’s only 3 ingredients: I love simple mixed drinks and this Vegas bomb recipe couldn’t get any easier. Plus, they are ingredients you can find at any liquor store!
    • It’s ready fast: In minutes, you will have this fancy drink to enjoy. It feels sophisticated and fun even though it doesn’t take long to make.

    Ingredients

You only need the three components listed below to prepare your shot drinks. It’s so simple! Just use more to make multiple shots if needed.

Ingredients for Vegas Bomb Shot on a table.
    • Red Bull: This isn’t too sweet but it has subtle herbal and fruity notes mixed with fizzy carbonation. It works great as part of the base for this Vegas bomb drink. There are several recipes for Red Bull shots out there but this one is a favorite!
    • Peach Schnapps: You can use any kind of peach liqueur you want, but it’s classic to use peach schnapps for this recipe. It doesn’t have a super strong alcoholic taste but it’s not sweet like juice.
    • Crown Royal: This is a bold yet smooth whiskey. It’s perfect for shots and cocktails. I enjoy Crown Royal shots on their own, too.

See the recipe card below for exact ingredient amounts, nutritional information, and detailed instructions.

    Variations

    • Tropical: Try pineapple juice instead of peach schnapps and coconut rum instead of Crown Royal for a tropical experience.
    • Mixed berry: Use strawberry Red Bull and black raspberry schnapps for a berry explosion.
    • Lemonade: Swap the peach schnapps for limoncello and the Red Bull for lemonade for a citrus version.

How to Make Vegas Bomb Shots

Here are the steps needed to make these bomb shots. It’s super easy and quick. Then, you get to enjoy a perfectly crafted beverage!

Step 4: Drink. Quickly chug the drink and enjoy!

    Recipe Tips

    • Keep the ingredients chilled: Shots go down smoother and easier when they’re cold. I like to stick the ingredients in the refrigerator before I use them to make a chilled drink.
    • You’ll need a pint and a shot glass: This is a bomb shot so you’ll need both a pint glass for the Red Bull and Schnapps and then a shot glass for the whiskey.
    • Storage directions: This isn’t a recipe that you can prepare ahead because the Crown Royal must be kept separate right up until you serve it. It’s much easier to make them on the spot.

    • Some tasty appetizers you could serve with this drink are BBQ meatball sliders or loaded tater tots.
    • Even these lemon and garlic broiled shrimp skewers pair well with this fancy shot.

    Recipe FAQs

    Can I mix everything instead?

If you prefer! This will turn it into a delicious cocktail instead of a shot.

Can I make a large batch?

You can combine a larger amount of Red Bull with peach Schnapps if you want to, but you must add a shot of whiskey before you drink it.

Can I use a different whiskey?

Absolutely! Any brand of whiskey would be fabulous, including Jack Daniels or Jim Beam. Get creative and experiment!
