The strawberries are cooked down into a sweet topping and paired with tangy cheesecake. I love how crispy the brown sugar topping gets in the oven. It balances the whole dessert! Take it to the next level with a simple icing drizzle on top. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!

Strawberry Dessert Pizza Ingredients
Here is everything you need to make this strawberry pizza recipe. It takes common ingredients and brings them together to create the ultimate tasty and creative dessert.

- Pizza crust: I use a refrigerated pizza crust for convenience, but you can use your favorite pizza crust recipe instead.
- Strawberries: I recommend fresh strawberries in this recipe for the best texture. Frozen strawberries hold a lot of moisture, and will be very soft when cooked.
- Sugar: I use white granulated sugar as the sweetener for the strawberries, in the cinnamon sugar for the crust, and in the crumble. The brown sugar is just for the crumble topping. Finally, the powdered sugar is for the glaze drizzle. Each of these adds its own flair to help this strawberry pizza dessert taste so good!
- Cornstarch and flour: The cornstarch helps to thicken the strawberry topping, while the flour is added to the brown sugar crumble to help it brown in the oven.
- No-bake cheesecake filling: You will find this in the dairy aisle of the grocery store with cream cheese and cookie dough. Any brand will work fine in this recipe—I typically use Philadelphia!
- Butter: Ensure the butter is softened before you use it to make it easier to incorporate into the other ingredients. Don’t let it get too warm and melt, or you will have a paste instead of a crumble.
- Lemon juice: I add lemon juice to the strawberry mixture for balance and acidity. It prevents the strawberries from becoming overly sweet.
- Cinnamon and salt: I sprinkle cinnamon sugar on the crust before I bake it, and I add salt to the crumble for balance.
See the recipe card below for exact ingredient amounts, nutritional information, and detailed instructions.
Variations
- Chocolate: Drizzle melted chocolate on top of the finished pizza or stir cocoa powder into the cheesecake filling for a chocolate strawberry version.
- Mixed berry: Make a mixed berry filling using blueberries and raspberries with the strawberries for an extra fruity twist.
- Strawberry lime: Make the icing glaze with powdered sugar and lime juice and garnish with grated lime zest for a citrusy zing.
How to Make Strawberry Pizza
Below are all of the necessary steps to make this recipe for strawberry pizza. I recommend preheating your oven to 400°F and greasing the pizza pan before you roll out the dough. A large sheet pan would work as well.

Step 1: Prepare the crust. Roll out the refrigerated dough onto the prepared pan. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on top. Bake it in the oven for 10-12 minutes or until it’s a lovely golden brown color. Then, allow it to cool for at least 5 minutes.

Step 2: Make the strawberry topping. Add the strawberries, water, white sugar, and cornstarch to a medium saucepan and heat medium heat. Stir it until the cornstarch has dissolved and cook the mixture at a simmer for about 15 minutes or until it thickens. Then, set it to the side to cool for another 15 minutes.

Step 3: Add the cheesecake and strawberries. Spread the cheesecake filling over the top of the cooled crust. Then, spoon the cooled strawberry mixture over the top of the cheesecake layer.

Step 4: Make and sprinkle the crumble. Combine the butter, remaining white sugar, brown sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl until it’s crumbly. Sprinkle it evenly over the strawberry pizza.

Step 5: Bake and add icing. Pop it in the oven and bake it for 15 minutes or until the top is perfectly golden. Allow it to cool for 5 minutes, and then drizzle the powdered sugar and milk icing on top before serving!
Recipe Tips
- Storage directions: Place leftovers of this strawberry dessert pizza into an airtight container and store them in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
- Soften the cheesecake filling: If the no-bake cheesecake is too firm to spread, allow it to soften at room temperature for 10-15 minutes.
- Serve warm or chilled: You can enjoy a slice of strawberry pizza warm or chilled from the refrigerator. It tastes so good either way!
- Watch the crumble in the oven: Keep an eye on the crumble topping as it bakes. You want it to be golden brown but if it’s left too long, it may burn.

- Add some zing to the crumble topping by incorporating some spicy candy pecans into it. Butter toffee pretzels would be amazing, too!

- Customize the shape of the pizza to fit a special occasion! Shape it into a heart for Valentine’s Day, for example.

Strawberry Dessert Pizza FAQs
Why do I need to pre-bake the crust?
This ensures that the strawberry fruit pizza is fully baked. It also prevents it from becoming soggy when you add the other toppings.
Why is the strawberry mixture so thin?
If you don’t allow it to cook and then cool long enough, this can cause the strawberry topping to have a thin consistency. Allow it more time on the stovetop to thicken. You can try using more cornstarch as well.
What can I use if I don’t have a piping bag?
I hardly have piping bags on hand but a Ziploc bag with a snipped corner does the trick! Ensure you remove as much air as possible before you seal it.
I don’t recommend it because it alters the texture of the icing and cheesecake filling. It’s much better prepared when you want it, and then consumed within a couple of days.
