This Pineapple Ice Cream is a delicious and creamy cold treat. If you have never made homemade ice cream, now is the time to start! This is a no-churn ice cream recipe so there are no eggs in it. It’s super easy to make and I never met anyone who hasn’t fallen in love with the flavors.

A glass bowl filled with several scoops of no-churn vanilla ice cream sits on a marble surface alongside empty waffle cones, a bowl of pineapple chunks, and bottles in the background.

The fresh pineapple has a sweet and slightly tart flavor that pairs wonderfully with the vanilla and sweetened condensed milk. It’s not a cloyingly sweet dessert and the addition of the pineapple is so refreshing.

Why You’ll Love This No Churn Ice Cream Recipe

    • Only 20 minutes of prep: It only takes 20 minutes of your time to make this pineapple dessert.
    • Budget-friendly: You need 4 inexpensive ingredients making this a great ice cream recipe on a tight budget.
    • No-churn recipe: No ice cream machine or cooking is required to make this!

    Ingredients

Here are all of the ingredients needed to make this easy ice cream with pineapple.

Bowls of ingredients to make pineapple ice cream on the table before preparing.
    • Heavy cream: Heavy whipping cream is the key to achieving a light and creamy texture.
    • Diced pineapple: Use a fresh pineapple for this recipe if you can. It’s so good!
    • Sweetened condensed milk: This adds sweetness and helps the consistency of the ice cream when it freezes.
    • Vanilla: I like to add vanilla extract for a subtle vanilla flavor and to enhance the pineapple flavor.

See the recipe card below for exact ingredient amounts, nutritional information, and detailed instructions.

    Variations

    • Pineapple Orange Ice Cream: Add a splash of fresh orange juice and orange zest for a fun twist.
    • Pineapple and Coconut Ice Cream: Pineapple coconut ice cream is one of my favorite variations. Replace vanilla extract with coconut extract and fold in shredded coconut.
    • Pineapple Mango Ice Cream: Puree some fresh mango with the pineapple for a real taste of paradise.
    • Pineapple and Strawberry Ice Cream: Dice strawberries to blend with the pineapple or fold them into the mixed ice cream before it freezes for added sweetness.

How to Make Pineapple Ice Cream

Here are the instructions on how to make no-churn ice cream. It’s very easy to follow and only takes 4 steps.

Blender container filled with pineapple chunks, placed on a white marble surface next to a small bowl of liquid and a small cup of cream.

Step 1: Add ingredients to a blender. Combine the diced pineapple, condensed milk, and vanilla in a blender. Puree the mixture until it is smooth and creamy.

A glass bowl containing a mixture of creamy pineapple ice cream is on a marble countertop.

Step 2: Whip the cream. In a separate mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream using an electric mixer for about 3-5 minutes or until stiff peaks form.

A loaf pan filled with a creamy white no-churn ice cream mixture, placed on a marble countertop.

Step 3: Fold together. Fold the blended pineapple mixture into the whipped cream until they are well combined. Transfer the ice cream to a 9x5 loaf pan.

Step 4: Cover and freeze. Cover the pan tightly with plastic wrap and place it in the freezer for a minimum of 6 hours to set. Scoop and enjoy!

Hint: You may need to scrape down the sides of the blender when pureeing the pineapple to ensure it blends evenly.

    Recipe Tips

    • Storage directions: Store this ice cream in your freezer for up to 2 months.
    • Fold in extra pineapple: For texture, you may fold in extra bits of pineapple before you freeze it.
    • Cover it properly: Ensure the plastic wrap is tight and touching the top of the ice cream to prevent ice crystals from forming.

    Recipe FAQs

    Can I use canned pineapple?

Yes! Be sure to drain all of the juice from the can before adding the pineapple to the blender. I like to use canned Dole pineapple in the ice cream.

    Can I use frozen pineapple?

Of course! Add it and blend just like the fresh pineapple. Just keep in mind it will take the same amount of time to set in the freezer.
