Why You'll Love This Big Mac Wrap Recipe
- Iconic Flavor: This recipe captures the classic taste of a Big Mac in wrap form, perfect for a quick and easy lunch or dinner using a handful of inexpensive ingredients.
- Customizable: Easily adjust ingredients to suit your personal preferences, whether it's adding extra pickles, ground beef, lettuce, sauce, or cheese.
- Homemade Big Mac Sauce: Making the delicious Big Mac sauce from scratch ensures a fresher, more flavorful sauce compared to grocery store-bought alternatives.
Ingredients
It only takes a few simple ingredients to make these delicious wraps. You'll easily find everything you need at your local grocery store.

Big Mac Sauce
- Mayonnaise: Provides creaminess and richness to the sauce but you can use Greek yogurt for a lighter alternative.
- Mustard: Adds a tangy kick and depth of flavor to the sauce. I prefer Dijon mustard for its intense flavor but you can also use yellow mustard.
- Sweet Relish: Adds sweetness and texture, balancing out the tanginess of other ingredients in the sauce. Feel free to use chopped dill pickles instead.
- Ketchup: Gives the sauce tomato-y sweetness. You can use chile sauce or hot sauce if you'd rather spice the sauce up.
- Seasoning: Onion powder, paprika, and garlic powder add a savory, aromatic flavor to the sauce. You can also use smoked paprika for a little smoky flavor.
Beef Ingredients
- Lean Ground Beef: You can also use ground turkey, ground chicken, or a plant-based meat substitute instead. I use 80/20 ground beef because it has a higher fat content and added flavor but you can use leaner ground beef as well.
- Yellow Onion: Adds sweetness and texture to the meat. Red onion or shallots can be used for a sharper flavor.
- Worcestershire Sauce: Adds richness, slight sweetness, and depth of flavor to the beef. Use soy sauce or balsamic vinegar for a similar flavor.
Assembling the Wraps
- 10-inch Flour Tortillas: Soft tortillas act as the wrap for the filling. Use flavored tortillas, corn tortillas, or low-carb tortillas to provide a healthier alternative. Be sure they are the larger size for easier wrapping.
- Shredded Lettuce: Offers crispness and freshness to the wraps. I like using romaine lettuce, but you can use another type of lettuce or even spinach and kale.
- Shredded Mild Cheddar Cheese: Provides creaminess and a mild cheesy flavor to the wraps. Use Monterey Jack, shredded American cheese, or Swiss cheese for a different flavor.
- Sliced Dill Pickles: Offer tanginess and crunch to the wraps. Use bread and butter pickles or pickled jalapeños for a different flavor.
See the recipe card at the end of the post for the full list of ingredients and quantities of each.
Variations
Don't have the correct ingredients on hand or want to change something up? Here are some helpful tips for you to change this Big Mac wrap recipe.
- Spicy: Add some chili pepper flakes or your favorite hot pepper sauce to the beef mixture, the Big Mac sauce, or both for an extra kick of heat.
- Grilled or Toasted: Assemble the wraps and spray the outside with a little cooking spray. Then throw them on an indoor grill pan or skillet over medium heat toasting each side until golden. This adds a little crispness to the tortillas.
- Additions: Customize the wraps with additional toppings such as diced tomatoes, sliced avocado, or crispy bacon.

Recipe Tips
While this may be an easy cheeseburger wrap recipe, there's no reason that we can't make it easier is there? I have a couple of tips here that will do just that!
- Sauce Consistency: Adjust the ingredients in the Big Mac sauce to achieve your desired thickness, flavor, and consistency.
- Even Cooking: Make sure the ground beef is cooked evenly by breaking it into small pieces with a meat masher and stirring frequently while cooking.
- Warm Tortillas: Heat the tortillas for a little bit in the microwave or on a medium skillet before assembling the wraps to make them more pliable and keep them from tearing.
- Toothpick Securement: If you're using toothpicks to secure the wraps, place them diagonally across the wraps. Remember to remove the toothpicks before eating.
Recipe FAQs
Yes, there are alternatives to using tortillas. You can use lettuce leaves for a low-carb option or sandwich bread for a more traditional approach.
To prevent sogginess, avoid overfilling the wraps and drain excess moisture from the fillings like pickles or lettuce before assembly. Wraps will always get soggy if they aren't eaten relatively soon after they're made. You can't get around it. The moisture from the filling will be absorbed into the tortilla.
You can just use 1,000 Island dressing if you don't have the ingredients to make Big Mac sauce.
