Put a little spring in your taste buds with this pretzel Rolo bites recipe. With the saltiness of the pretzels and the sweet, chocolate, caramel flavor of Rolos, what's not to love? Although these are decorated with spring mind, this flavor combo can be enjoyed any time of year.

Come the holidays or when the seasons change, I love celebrating by making homemade treats for family and friends. These deliciously sweet and salty morsels are an all-time favorite, and I get asked to make them time and time again. I'm always happy to oblige!

    Pretzel Rolo Bites Recipe

This was inspired by my pretzel s'mores bites on this site. The combination of sweet and salty worked so well with the s'mores bites that I just knew they would be amazing. Try pairing with these brownie pretzels and you're in for a treat.

    Ingredients

You only need three ingredients to make this recipe. You won't find an ingredient list much simpler than that!

    • Pretzels
    • Rolos
    • Sprinkles

See the recipe card at the end of the post for quantities.

    Instructions

Making these sweet and salty treats is a simple as getting the ingredients together. It takes next to no effort to make them!

    Step 1: Prep

Preheat the oven to 300 degrees and get out your pretzels and Rolos.

    Step 2: Heat and Press

Place the pretzels on the baking sheet and top each one with a Rolo. Bake for 3 minutes, then take the baking sheet from the oven and press another pretzel onto the top of each Rolo.

    Step 3: Decorate

    Decorate with pastel sprinkles.

Hint: The Rolos will be soft, so it will be an easy matter to press the top pretzel down until you get little pretzel sandwiches.

    Substitutions

Don't have the correct ingredients on hand or want to change something up? Here are some helpful tips for you to change this pretzel Rolo bites recipe.

    • Square Pretzels - If you don't have regular shaped pretzels, you can use square pretzels.
    • Sprinkles - Use any color sprinkles you want to make the recipe match the season or holiday.

    Variations

Want to personalize this pretzel Rolo recipe? Here are some of my tried and true tips for changing up this recipe.

    • Chocolate Drizzle - For a little something extra, melt milk or semi-sweet chocolate chips and drizzle the chocolate over the preztel bites.
    • Serve with a Dip - For even more sweetness, serve these little snacks with a sweet dessert dip. Use the bites for dipping!

    Equipment

It takes next to nothing to make this super easy recipe. You only need two items. That's it!

    • Baking sheet

    Storage

These pretzel bites will keep in an air-tight container at room temperature for about a week. For longer storage, you can freeze them for up to three months.

    Tips

This recipe is so simple, there are barely any tips at all. In fact, I only have two!

    • Use parchment paper on your cookie sheet to make cleanup easy.
    • Use different sprinkles for different season. Pastel colors are great for spring and Easter. Red, green, and white sprinkles are perfect for Christmas.

    FAQ

Do you have questions about pretzel Rolo bites? Here are some of the most commonly asked questions about this pretzel Rolo bites recipe.

    What are Rolos made of?

Rolos are cone-shaped chocolate candy filled with caramel.

Can I use other candies for this recipe?

You sure can! Any sort of chocolate and caramel candy will work.

How do I freeze these bites?

Chill them completely in the refrigerator, then transfer them to an air-tight, freezer-safe container or heavy-duty freezer bag.

How can I make these for another season or holiday?

I used pastel sprinkles to make these bites spring-themed. Just change the colors for a different theme. Black and orange are great for Halloween. Red, green, and white are perfect for Christmas. Green is, of course, the perfect color for St. Patrick's Day.
