These Pretzel Flowers are one of my favorite things to make! Not only are they a great balance of sweet and salty, but they’re super cute. I like to add them as garnishes to spruce up desserts or serve them as part of a snack spread for party guests. They’re even great as a portable treat if you have a sweet tooth.

The M&M's act as the colorful petals while the candy melts are the “glue” that keeps them on the pretzels. I love the waffle pretzel shape because it has plenty of surface area for the candies to stick to. You may even make them as part of a party favor or gift to give to your guests.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- It’s only 3 ingredients: All you need to make these spring flower pretzel bites are pretzels, candy melts, and M&M's. It doesn’t get any simpler than that!
- It’s ready in less than 20 minutes: I love it when sweet (and adorable) treats don’t take a long time to make. You don’t need to be an artist, either.
- It’s great for Easter: The pastel colors remind me of Easter and spring, making these the perfect Easter pretzel treats.
Ingredients
With just the 3 ingredients listed below, you can make your own pretzel flowers. All you need are waffle pretzels for the base, white candy melts, and M&M's for decoration!

- Waffle pretzels: These pretzels have the most sturdy design and hold the M&M's and melted candy the best. If you want the best flower pretzels possible, use the waffles or snaps.
- Candy Melts: I use white candy melts because the pretty colors are coming from the M&Ms. You may use another pastel color instead if you want!
- M&Ms: Any Easter, pastel, or light-colored M&M candies are best for this recipe. You can’t have Easter pretzels with traditional M&M's.
See the recipe card below for exact ingredient amounts, nutritional information, and detailed instructions.
Variations
- Fall-themed: Use red, orange, and brown for Fall flowers! You may even make them Christmas-themed with red and green M&M's. Switch up the design based on the season or occasion.
- Try Skittles: Make these pretzel Easter treats with Skittles instead of M&M's for a fruity, chewy twist.
- Use chocolate: Try chocolate like Hershey's Kisses instead of candy melts to hold the M&M's in place.
How to Make Pretzel Flowers
Start by preheating your oven to 225 degrees F and lining a baking sheet with parchment. Then, you can focus on decorating your pretty flower pretzels!

Step 1: Arrange pretzels and candy melts. Place the waffle pretzels onto the lined baking sheet with an inch in between each one. Place one candy melt into the center of each one.

Step 2: Bake and add M&Ms. Stick the pan in the oven for about 3 minutes. Then, start with an M&M in the center of each pretzel, and then follow with 6 more around it to create a flower pattern.

Step 3: Let the candy set. Once all of the flowers are complete, let them sit to harden for about 15 minutes on the counter.

Step 4: Serve. Transfer them to a fun serving dish and enjoy!
Recipe Tips
- Work quickly: The candy melts will set fast, so work quickly when adding your M&M’s. Feel free to work in batches if needed!
- Skip broken pretzels: You will need fully intact pretzels for this recipe to be successful. Skip the broken pieces.
- Chill briefly: If you want to ensure the M&M pretzel flowers hold up, you may stick them in the refrigerator for a few minutes. This is faster than letting them sit at room temperature. Just don’t leave them in there too long.
