- Refried beans: This adds a creamy element to the dip. I combine it with the taocv seasoning to give it that classic taco flavor.
- Salsa: Any jarred salsa will work (depending on your preference of ingredients and spice level). If you prefer, you can make this tomato salsa instead.
- Guacamole: Purchase premade guacamole from the grocery store or try homemade guacamole for the freshest flavor.
- Toppings: Of course, you'll need black olives, tomatoes, green onions, cilantro, and sour cream for the web. You can omit any of these toppings if you don't like them.

Step 6: Start the spiderweb. Use sour cream to make lines going from edge to edge in a cross and then an X.

Step 7: Finish the web. Add details with more sour cream to make it look like a spiderweb.

Step 8: Add the spider and serve. Place a black spider in the center and spook your guests!
Recipe Tips
- Storage directions: Store dip leftovers in the refrigerator tightly covered and use them within 2 days.
- Drain liquid from the veggies: Pat the veggies dry before adding them to the top of the dip. The excess moisture can make the dip watery.
- Use a clear serving dish: Show off the gorgeous layers with a clear serving bowl!

Recipe FAQs
I don't recommend it. It will not freeze or thaw well. It will be watery and separate. Plus, the guacamole will turn brown.
Feel free to prepare this Halloween dip recipe a few hours before you plan to serve it, but not any longer, to preserve its freshness and flavor.
I like to make sure there's plenty of lime juice. This slows down oxidation, so it stays green longer.
