This Halloween Dip is a quick and versatile snack that works great for parties and gatherings. The cute web pattern puts it on theme with the spooky holiday.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz refried beans
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 cup guacamole
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup fresh chopped tomatoes
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • ¼ cup black olives chopped
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, mix the refried beans with the taco seasoning until well combined.
  • Press the bean mixture evenly into the bottom of a 2-quart round dish to form the base layer.
  • Spread the salsa evenly over the beans.
  • Gently spread the guacamole on top of the salsa.
  • Arrange the shredded cheese in a ring around the outer edge of the dish.
  • Add the chopped tomatoes, black olives, green onions, and cilantro around the outer edge in an even layer.
  • Transfer the sour cream to a piping bag or zip-top bag with the corner snipped and pipe a spider web design across the top of the dip.
  • Finish by placing a clean plastic spider in the center of the web for a spooky Halloween touch.

Notes

  • You may prepare this Halloween dip a few hours in advance, but not longer, to preserve the freshness of the ingredients and the presentation.
  • Add some extra lime juice to the guacamole to keep it as green as possible until you serve the dip.
  • I do not recommend freezing this dip because it separates and becomes watery as it thaws.
