- 16 oz refried beans
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 cup guacamole
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup fresh chopped tomatoes
- 2 green onions sliced
- ¼ cup black olives chopped
- ¼ cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
In a medium bowl, mix the refried beans with the taco seasoning until well combined.
Press the bean mixture evenly into the bottom of a 2-quart round dish to form the base layer.
Spread the salsa evenly over the beans.
Gently spread the guacamole on top of the salsa.
Arrange the shredded cheese in a ring around the outer edge of the dish.
Add the chopped tomatoes, black olives, green onions, and cilantro around the outer edge in an even layer.
Transfer the sour cream to a piping bag or zip-top bag with the corner snipped and pipe a spider web design across the top of the dip.
Finish by placing a clean plastic spider in the center of the web for a spooky Halloween touch.
- You may prepare this Halloween dip a few hours in advance, but not longer, to preserve the freshness of the ingredients and the presentation.
- Add some extra lime juice to the guacamole to keep it as green as possible until you serve the dip.
- I do not recommend freezing this dip because it separates and becomes watery as it thaws.
