Making pizza rolls in Air Fryer has never been easier! They’re perfect to serve as a snack or appetizer and are sure to be a total hit with everyone in the family.
I would always make them when my son would come home from school starving, and if you’re someone who’s always on the hunt for easy kid-friendly recipes, I would highly recommend giving this recipe a shot.
I have to admit, we’re a bit of a pizza-obsessed household. I’ve tried tons of pizza recipes in the past! From smoked chicken pizza, to breakfast pizza, and my favorite crescent dough pizza.
And despite all of that, these air fryer pizza rolls hold a special place in my heart, all because of their simplicity.
Why You’ll Love These Air Fryer Pizza Bites
- Healthy snack: Use a homemade pizza sauce and some chicken or meat with some veggies for a super healthy, low-oil snack that the whole family will love.
- Easy to make: Making pizza rolls in the Air Fryer is super quick and easy to make. All you’ll need is 10 minutes and a handful of simple ingredients.
- Absolutely delicious: These garlic butter pizza rolls are crispy, soft, cheesy, and savory.
- Versatile: Team them up with a dipping sauce or tweak the fillings and stuffings.
Ingredients
- Pizza dough: Your classic packaged pizza dough works just fine!
- Pepperoni: Feel free to use chicken or turkey pepperoni if you prefer.
- Cheese: Of course, you’ll need lots of cheese! I used a mix of shredded mozzarella cheese and some Parmesan cheese.
- Pizza sauce: Use your favorite jarred or homemade pizza sauce.
- Garlic: I also love adding a bit of garlic for some of that extra flavor. Use garlic powder if you don’t have fresh garlic.
- Olive oil: Use good quality (ideally extra virgin olive oil) here. You’ll need it to make the garlic oil.
See the recipe card below for exact ingredient amounts, nutritional information, and detailed instructions.
Variations
- Cheese swap: Out of shredded mozzarella? Use a cut-up string cheese or your favorite shredded cheese instead. Cheddar and Mexican blend cheese are great choices.
- Make it spicy: Add chili pepper flakes or cayenne to your sauce for a spicy kick.
- Experiment with fillings: Don’t have pepperoni? Try stuffing the rolls with different fillings like chopped veggies and shredded chicken.
- Flavor change: Skip the tomato-based sauce and try different sauces like BBQ sauce or ranch sauce to make different flavored pizza bites.
How to Make Pizza Rolls in Air Fryer
Step 1: Prepare your pan. Line a 7-inch round metal cake pan with parchment paper and then spray it with some cooking spray. At this time, begin to preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees.
Step 2: Prepare dough rounds. Work with the dough and section it into 12 pieces. Flatten it into rounds.
Step 3: Add in the stuffing. Layer the pepperoni, pizza sauce, and cheese into the dough rounds.
Step 4: Seal around the filling. Shape the rounds and seal them carefully. Flip them over and transfer them to the cake pan.
Step 5: Prepare garlic oil. Combine the oil and minced garlic in a small bowl and microwave for about 30 seconds or until slightly fragrant. Brush this mixture over the rolls.
Step 6: Air fry. Cook for about 7 minutes or until golden brown. Top with some grated Parmesan or chopped parsley if you want to.
⭐️ Hint: While making dough rounds, keep the rest of the dough covered in cling wrap. This will keep it from drying out.

Recipe Tips
- Don’t overcrowd: To get the best crispy homemade pizza rolls, do not overcrowd the Air Fryer- leave a little space between the rolls to ensure even cooking.
- Use parchment paper: Line your Air Fryer basket with parchment paper for easy cleanup when air frying pizza rolls.
- Less is more: When it comes to using pizza sauce, less is more. Stick to 1 teaspoon of sauce or the dough can end up soggy.
