I like to call this Roast Beef Wrap recipe my go-to summer meal. When it gets just too hot to spend time in the kitchen with the oven on, this wrap provides something delicious and filling that you can enjoy for lunch, dinner, or whenever you want. With the tender beef, sweet mustard sauce, and toppings like fresh onion and lettuce, you can't go wrong.

    • Roast Beef Wrap

There are several varieties of good-quality roast beef out there, so it's easy to make this recipe feel more like your own. I keep it basic, and it's still delicious. Add your favorite veggie toppings and a side of cheesy Chex Mix for a fun meal idea.

If you are looking for more easy cold sandwich recipes, I recommend this tuna salad sandwich and this chicken club sandwich.

    Why You'll Love This Recipe

    • It's quick to make: It takes just minutes to put these roast beef wraps together. So, you can spend more time devouring them than preparing them.
    • It uses minimal ingredients: You don't need a lot to make a delicious beef wrap. The beef, a good spread, sauce, cheese, and some veggies, and that's it!
    • It's great anytime: Make them for lunch, dinner, or as a protein pick-me-up poolside; they are so great whenever you want.

    Ingredients

Here are the most important ingredients you'll need to make a basic roast beef wrap. Just add toppings!

Ingredients to make roast beef wraps on a table.
    • Roast beef: Try making your roast beef tortilla wraps with leftover roast beef or store-bought deli roast beef. It comes down to your preference!
    • Cream cheese: I like to spread a layer of cream cheese on the tortilla. It adds a creamy texture and tangy flavor to the wrap. You can skip it, but I also find it acts as a good barrier for some of the toppings, like lettuce and tomato, to keep the tortilla from becoming soggy.
    • Honey mustard mayonnaise: I make this delicious honey mustard mayo for this wrap. It's a little sweet, tangy, and rich. You can even have extra on the side for dipping!

See the recipe card below for exact ingredient amounts, nutritional information, and detailed instructions.

    Variations

    • Italian: Use an Italian seasoned roast beef, provolone cheese slices, and roasted red peppers for Italian flair.
    • Extra spicy: Make this tortilla beef wrap super spicy by using your favorite spicy pepper (pickled jalapenos or banana peppers, etc) and a spicy sauce like horseradish aioli.
    • Club: Add other meats like deli ham and turkey to make this into a club wrap. It's one of my favorite wrap ideas.

How to Make a Roast Beef Wrap

These are the steps needed to make your roast beef tortilla wraps. It's so easy!

Cream cheese spread on a tortilla.

Step 1: Spread the cream cheese. Spread a thin layer of cream cheese on your tortilla.

Ingredients for the sauce in a bowl.

Step 2: Make the honey mustard mayo. Then, combine the ingredients for the sauce and whisk them until they are well combined.

Sauce drizzled over the cream cheese on the tortilla.

Step 3: Drizzle it on the tortilla. Next, drizzle it over the cream cheese on the tortilla.

Onions, lettuce, and roast beef layered on the tortilla.

Step 4: Layer your ingredients. Now you can layer the onions, lettuce, and roast beef.

Tortilla folded up on a cutting board.

Step 5: Fold it. Fold in the ends of the tortilla and then roll it up tightly.

Tortilla sliced in half to serve.

Step 6: Slice and serve. Slice the wrap in half and enjoy it with some sweet potato fries.

    Recipe Tips

    • Don't overfill the tortillas: Try not to add too much extra to your roast beef wraps. The extra filling will make it difficult to fold them closed.
    • Warm the tortilla slightly: I like to pop my tortillas into the microwave for about 10 seconds to make them more pliable. This prevents them from ripping.
    • Avoid ingredients with excess moisture: If you would like to add pickles, tomatoes, or other produce that hold a lot of moisture, pat them dry if you can. Otherwise, be strategic with how you layer them or avoid them.
    • Storing: You may store the wraps in the fridge for up to 3 days. I do not recommend freezing them as the toppings don't thaw well.

My roast beef sandwich and beef kabobs in the oven are other delicious beef options you can try.

This bone-in prime rib roast with a prime rib rub makes for some super-delicious wraps. Give it a try and you'll see.

    Serving Suggestions

    • Have some classic potato chips on the side, or make these delicious baked pita chips.
    • I love a good salad as a side dish, too. Try this creamy cucumber salad, or even a simple garden salad would be great.
    • A warm soup like this Thai carrot soup would be great, too. You can even dip your wrap in it!
    • If you need additional topping ideas, try honey hot sauce and horseradish pickles!
