These Easter salmon recipes will have your guests ooh-ing and ahh-ing when they reach the table. Whether you want to add these to your existing Easter spread or totally change things up, these recipes are all perfect for the holiday.

Collage of four Easter salmon recipes.

Most Easter tables are usually loaded with ham, turkey, or lamb. Some people even serve prime rib. We have a list of our favorite Easter casserole recipes, Easter salad recipes and ham recipes for dinner.

All of these classics are staples for a reason. They're delicious. However, sometimes we want to change things up, and with these delicious salmon recipes, it's easy to do just that.

One of the best things about salmon is its versatility. It can be prepared in many different ways making it an effortless addition to your Easter spread. Not only is this vibrant pink fish visually appealing, but its rich and tender texture paired with a variety of flavorful sauces and accompaniments will leave your dinner guests truly impressed.

If you're interested in air fryer Easter recipes or Easter crockpot recipes we have all our favorites in one place. Including how to make air fryer frozen salmon.

When planning your Easter salmon recipes, consider the preferences of your guests and the overall theme of your meal. Whether you choose savory, zesty, or sweet combinations, rest assured that this show-stopping entrée will become a memorable part of your family's Easter tradition.

    Selecting and Preparing Salmon

    Choosing the Right Salmon

When selecting salmon for your Easter salmon recipes, it's important to look for fresh, high-quality salmon fillets. Keep an eye out for these indicators of quality:

    • Fresh salmon is a bright, rich color, not dull or faded.
    • Flesh of the salmon should be firm and bounce back when you gently press on it.
    • Fresh salmon should have a mild, ocean-like aroma. Avoid fillets with a strong, fishy smell, as this indicates the fish may not be fresh.
    • The skin should be smooth and shiny, with no signs of drying or slime.

    Deboning and Cleaning Salmon

Before cooking, it's important to clean and debone your salmon. To clean the fillet, simply rinse it under cold water and pat it dry with paper towels.

To remove the bones, you'll need a pair of clean needle-nose pliers or a fish bone tweezer. Here's how:

Lay the salmon fillet on a clean cutting board, skin-side down.
Run your finger along the length of the fillet to feel for pin bones.
When you locate a pin bone, grasp it with the pliers and gently pull it out in the direction it's pointing, trying not to tear the flesh.

    Understanding Pin Bones

Pin bones are the small, thin bones that run down the center of a salmon fillet. They can be difficult to see, so it's important to feel for them with your fingers and carefully remove them before cooking. It's worth mentioning that even if you buy deboned salmon fillets, some pin bones may still remain. Always double-check and remove any remaining pin bones to ensure a pleasant dining experience.

Following these steps will help you select and prepare a high-quality salmon fillet for your Easter salmon recipes, resulting in a delicious and impressive meal for your guests.

    Setting the Easter Table

When setting your Easter table, it's important to create a festive and inviting atmosphere for your guests to enjoy your delectable salmon dish. Here are some ideas for accomplishing that:

    • Use pastel-colored tableware and linens that accentuate the theme of spring and Easter.
    • Place a beautifully curated centerpiece on the table, such as a floral arrangement, Easter eggs, or even a platter including your salmon dish.
    • Ensure there is ample space for all the food, including your salmon dish, so that guests can easily help themselves and enjoy all the tasty options you have prepared.

    Why These Recipes are Great

These recipes work so well because their flavors are so complex and flavorful, but making them isn't complex. The one thing none of us want when we have friends and family over for Easter is to be stuck in the kitchen for hours.

These recipes might look and taste like they took hours in a gourmet kitchen, but in reality, they're very easy to make, leaving you more time to enjoy your family and friends.

These recipes range from simple salmon cooked on a wooden board to salmon loaded with a creamy sauce full of crab. They're so varied and so delicious that there's something for everyone on the list!

What to Serve with Salmon Recipes

Salmon is always delicious with sides like rice or vegetables. In fact, those are my go-to when I serve salmon. Our favorite Easter potato recipes are definitely worth a look if you're looking for a potato side dish. I love to serve any of these dishes with sides from my Easter green bean recipes and our favorite Easter asparagus recipes.

Of course, we all love our food at Easter, so casseroles like this easy cheesy potato casserole with sliced potatoes are also a great option. We can't forget the bread for the holiday spread, either. This delicious cheese bread tastes just like Cheddar Bay Biscuits from Red Lobster, making the perfect pairing for any of these salmon recipes.
