In my opinion beans just get boring and there really is no need for it! For years I just boiled them and slowly we just rarely ate them. After asking around and doing some experimenting we now eat them in so many different things and in so many different ways!
Below, you will find a list of some of our favorite green bean recipes. Hopefully you will find some you are interested in trying as well. You never know!
Of course we have included a video for you to check out below! I hope you enjoy these beans as much as we do!
Sweet Balsamic Green Beans
- 3-4 cups green beans, fresh, trimmed, cut
- 3 tblsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 tblsp honey
- 1 tblsp onion powder
- 1 tblsp garlic, minced
- 3 tblsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
In a large pot boil water and cook beans until bright green and tender, between 4 and 5 minutes.
In the meantime, in a large saucepan, over medium heat, place the olive oil and wait until it shimmers or a drop of water flicked in it dances.
Remove the beans from the stove and drain. Add the garlic and green beans to the large saucepan with the oil in it. Cover, and cook for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove cover and add in vinegar, honey, onion powder, salt and pepper. Reduce heat to medium low. Stir regularly for a few more minutes. Serve immediately and enjoy!
