I love pizza, and I love hamburgers. I thought nothing could be better than either of those. Then I heard about pizza burgers, and I knew I needed them in my life. I was right!

    Pizza Burgers Recipe

I love these burgers because they're a unique take on the classic. Much like my bacon mac and cheese burger recipe, this burger takes the classic and turns it on its head. It's so delicious on its own or paired with these frozen sweet potato fries.

    Ingredients

It only takes a handful of simple ingredients to make these delicious burgers.

    • Frozen pizza
    • Ground beef
    • Salt
    • Pepper
    • Sliced mozzarella cheese

See the recipe card at the end of the post for quantities.

    Instructions

Making these amazing burgers is just as easy as gathering up the ingredients. It only takes a few simple steps.

    Step 1: Cook the Pizza

Prepare the pizza according to the package directions.

Step 2: Mix the Ground Beef

Combine the ground beef, salt, and pepper in a medium mixing bowl, being sure not to overwork the beef.

    Step 3: Form the Burgers

Make four burger patties, making an indentation in the center of each patty to help them flatten as they cook.

    Step 4: Cook the Burgers

Spray a skillet with nonstick spray or drizzle olive oil in it. Then heat it over medium heat. Next, add the patties and cook them until each side is browned and the center is cooked through.

Finally, remove the burgers from the pan and add a slice of mozzarella cheese to teach patty while hot so the cheese melts.

Step 5: Make the Pizza "Buns"

Using a round cutter to cut 8 "buns" out of the pizza.

Step 6: Make the Pizza Burgers

Create the pizza burgers by placing a circular piece of pizza on a plate. Then, add a hamburger pattie to the top of it. Finally, add another circular piece of pizza on top of the hamburger, topping side down.

Hint: The easiest way to create the indentation in the burgers before cooking is to use a flat-bottomed glass.
