Ever since my son was little pizza has become a weekly routine at our house. Actually, pizza was almost every night when my husband would get home from work late so he could have dinner with his family. Our son loved it!

Later when my son started preschool I realized that the other families in his class were bringing their children pizza for lunch on Fridays. Not wanting to be outdone I began bringing in Pizza every Friday as well! This is when I realized how many kids enjoy pizza for lunch.

As my son grew he started wanting to eat more toppings on his pizza so I decided to experiment with different types of pizzas. One of the first was Cheeseburger Pizza which he absolutely loved!

This recipe made enough for my family of 3 so I always had leftovers to bring in for lunch the next day.

The first time I made this recipe was years ago but it still remains a family favorite! To me it's just not pizza without crispy crust and ground beef! Of course you can make it your own by adding your favorite toppings. Have fun making it and enjoying it!

    Cheeseburger Pizza

I remember going to a pizza buffet for the first time on a trip to Buffalo, and one of the options was cheeseburger pizza. I'd never heard of the concept before, so naturally I had to try it. To this day, my favorite type of pizza is still a cheeseburger pizza with mushrooms added in.

This pizza rapidly became one of my favorite fast foods. Once I tried this cheeseburger pizza recipe I knew that I had to remake it at home, so I waited until my son was old enough to venture into new foods on his pizza other than cheese and pepperoni.

How Can I Reheat Cheeseburger Pizza

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Place desired number of slices on a baking sheet or pizza stone and bake for 8-10 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the crust is crispy again. 3.

Or you can wrap them in aluminum foil and place them in a warm oven until you are ready to eat them.

You can also nuke the slices in the microwave for 30-45 seconds or until the cheese has melted and the crust is crispy again.

And of course, you could reheat on the grill (or broil) for 3-5 minutes per side until the cheese melts and the crust is crispy.

    What’s on a cheeseburger pizza?

Ground beef, and cheese, along with the mustard and ketchup are the basics. Then you’ll be dressing it yourself after it’s cooked with your favorite toppings. You can add more ketchup/mustard if you want. Shredded lettuce, tomatoes, bacon, pickles.

Whatever you normally like to be on your cheeseburger. You can also add onions on top if you want, but it seems like they get cooked/soft when the pizza cooks.

Should I make this on a pizza stone

It's up to you whether or not you want to make this cheeseburger on a pizza stone. If you do, make sure it is preheated for around an hour before putting the pizza on the stone.

What else can I put on this burger pizza

If you want to make this pizza a heartier meal, there are some other things you can put on it like bacon. You can also add sliced tomatoes and mushrooms to make it more of an Italian style cheeseburger.

What does a pizza stone do

A pizza stone is a heat source that heats up and stores heat to cook the crust of your pizza. A pizza stone can reach higher temperatures than other cooking utensils, such as pans.

I hope you enjoy this different take on family pizza night. In my opinion if you are making pizza you might as well make a couple different varieties and a slice or two of each of them. That way everyone gets a little something different and you can be sure there is enough to go around. Also, for those of you who have picky eaters this kind of pizza night is a great idea because it allows them to choose what they will enjoy that evening without being limited by just one type of pizza.
