How to Make Peach Cobbler with Crescent Rolls
This recipe is incredibly easy to make. It only takes a few minutes and a few simple steps. Even beginners can make it!
Before we get started, you need to prep the peaches!
Fresh Peaches
If you're using fresh peaches, you'll need to remove the skin. If you've never done it before, don't worry. It's easy! I'll be breaking it down so you can quickly and easily get that skin off and move on to baking!
Cut a small x on the bottom of your peaches, then place 2 to 4 of them in a large pot of boiling water for 30 seconds.
Then, quickly transfer them to a bowl of ice water for a couple of seconds until they're cool enough to handle.
Peel the peaches starting at the x. The skin should come right off!
Canned or Frozen Peaches
If you're using frozen peaches, you'll need to let them completely defrost and pat them dry with a paper towel so you don't have too much liquid in your peach mixture.
If you're using canned peaches, drain well before adding them to the cobbler.
Once your peaches are prepped you're ready to get started. Here are the highlights of the steps involved. You'll find the complete instructions in the recipe card at the end of the post.
- Combine the sugars, water, cinnamon, and butter in a saucepan and boil to create a syrup.
- Roll out the crescent rolls and place 2 peach slices on each one.
- Roll them up and place them in a buttered dish. Repeat the process until all crescent rolls are used.
- Cut up the remaining peaches and sprinkle them over the top.
- Pour the syrup over the peach dumplings.
- Bake until golden brown and the syrup is bubbly.
- Mix up the homemade whipped cream. Combine the heavy whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla in a large bowl and whip until stiff peaks form.
- Cool and serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
How to Store
- Refrigerator: Store this cobbler in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up 5 days.
- Freezer: Place the cobbler in a well-sealed, freezer-safe container and freeze for up to 3 months. Be aware that freezing and defrosting the cobbler will make the dumplings a bit mushy, but they'll still be delicious.
- Make Ahead: For the best flavor and texture, I recommend making this the day you plan to serve it.
How to Serve
These peach dumplings are perfect with some whipped cream or vanilla ice cream on top. That's all they need.

FAQ
Yes, but it's important to completely defrost the peaches first. They will have lots of water in them which will make the cobbler soggy if you cook it with frozen peaches. Pat the frozen peach slices dry with a paper towel before rolling in the dough.
This probably happened if you used frozen peaches and either didn't defrost them, adequately drain them or both.
Absolutely. This recipe is a variation of peach cobbler, and it uses crescent rolls.

Instructions
Prep Fresh Peaches
- If using fresh peaches you're going to have to get the skin off. First, bring a large pot of water to a boil. While waiting for the water to boil, fill a large bowl with ice water. Cut a small x on the bottom of your peaches.
- Place two to four peaches in the boiling water. Don't crowd the pot, or the water will become too cool. Leave the peaches in the boiling water for 30 seconds.
- Quickly remove them from the water and transfer them to your ice water for a couple of seconds until they've cooled enough to handle but are still very warm. I hold them with a silicone oven mitt. Peel the peaches beginning where you made the x. The skin should peel right off!
Prep Frozen Peaches
- Allow frozen peach slices to totally defrost and come to room temperature before rolling. Pat slices dry with paper towel before rolling in dough.
Easy Peach Cobbler Dumplings
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Combine sugars, water, butter and cinnamon in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and boil for 5-7 minutes to allow syrup mixture to thicken some. Stir regularly with wooden spoon.
- While syrup mixture is coming to a boil, butter a 9x13" baking dish.
- Roll out each crescent flat. Place 2 sliced peaches in each crescent and roll up and place in baking dish.
- Cut up remaining peach slices and sprinkle over top of the rolled crescents.
- Pour syrup mixture over crescents and lightly dust with extra cinnamon.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until crescents are golden brown and bubbly.
- Allow to cool and top with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
Homemade Whipped Cream
- Pour heavy whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla into a medium to large bowl. Whisk on medium-high speed for 4-5 minutes until medium to stiff peaks form. Make sure you do not overbeat the mixture. Serve immediately.
