Christmas at Our Home
Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year. With the snow gently falling outside the windows, blanketing the world like something out of a fairy tale. It’s just breathtaking. I love to celebrate it with those I love and I make every effort to create the perfect dinner.
Every year my son and his wife come over with a bunch of their friends that are essentially family to us. We pull out the folding table to make room for all of us that gather for the festivities.
Our home is decorated to the nines and we go all out for our Christmas spread, including Christmas potato recipes…because no holiday table would be complete without them.
We fight over who gets to enjoy the Christmas potato recipes the most because I make more than one recipe and they’re usually the first to go when the plates are being served.
We open one present together and celebrate the true meaning of Christmas, in our eyes. That is to gather with ones you love and give from the heart. Now, while other people choose to celebrate differently, this is how we do it in our home, we choose to celebrate with love.
What Goes into a Christmas Dinner?
When it comes to Christmas dinner, there are many methods and choices available for you to try. Some people go with the traditional turkey dinner served with stuffing, potatoes, veggies, cranberry sauce and gravy.
Other people go with chicken, ham, or roast beef as the main course but still stick with the same side dishes. Potato recipes for Christmas are a staple for any holiday gathering.
Whether they be air fryer potatoes, mashed, sweet potatoes, or more, the list goes on. And, don’t even get me started on the desserts because there are too many to discuss in this post so I’ll just stick with holiday potato recipes.
