    Basil Aioli

    This basil aioli recipe is rich, creamy, and loaded with the zesty flavors of basil, garlic, and lemon. It's a great dip or sauce for almost anything.

    If you've read my blog for any length of time, you know I love aioli. I have a TON of recipes on my site. This basil version is one of my favorites, however. It's so versatile.

    Basil Aioli Recipeeeeee

    This was inspired by another aioli recipe on this site and pairs well with this amazing chicken fries recipe.

    Ingredients

    It only takes a handful of ingredients to make this delicious aioli. You'll probably find everything you need in your kitchen right now.

    • Mayonnaise
    • Fresh basil
    • Minced garlic cloves
    • Fresh lemon juice
    • Fresh lemon zest

    Instructions

    The only thing easier than the ingredient list for this recipe is actually making it. It only takes ONE step!

    Step 1: Make the Aioli

    Combine all the aioli ingredients and mix well. Then, place them in a resealable jar and chill for an hour before serving.

    Hint: Always give this aioli plenty of chilling time before serving so the flavors can really marry together.

    Substitutions

    Don't have the correct ingredients on hand or want to change something up? Here are some helpful tips for you to change this basil aioli recipe.

    • Bottle Minced Garlic - If you don't want to mince your own garlic, simply use the jarred variety.
    • Real Lemon - You can use Real Lemon juice if you don't have a fresh lemon.

    Ingredients
      

    • 1 cup mayonnaise
    • 1 cup fresh basil
    • 3 cloves garlic
    • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
    • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon zest

    Instructions
     

    • Get out and measure your ingredients.
