Mini Beer Shots are one of the most fun and eye-catching drinks you can make, and they always get people talking. With their adorable layered look that mimics a tiny glass of beer, it's the kind of drink that looks impressive and is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser every single time.

This was inspired by my peanut butter shot and key lime pie shot on this site, and pairs well with this Big Mac quesadilla.

    • Sweet and smooth: Tastes like a dessert in a glass.
    • Fun to serve: Guests love the layered look and taste.

    Ingredients

You only need two simple ingredients to create this elegant layered mini beer shot, making it perfect for last-minute entertaining.

Ingredients to make Baby Beer Shot in bottles on a table
    • Licor 43: Provides a sweet vanilla citrus flavor that forms the base of the drink.
    • Heavy whipping cream: Adds a rich, smooth layer that balances the sweetness and creates the signature layered look.

See the recipe card below for the exact quantities of each ingredient.

    Variations

    • Espresso shot: Add a splash of espresso for a coffee flavor
    • Add Richness: Add a drizzle of chocolate syrup or caramel sauce
    • Baileys mix: Replace heavy cream with Baileys Irish Cream for a change
    • Vanilla boost: Add a splash of vanilla extract for enhanced flavor
    • Lighter Version: Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream

How to Make Baby Beer Shots

This mini beer shot recipe is incredibly easy and only takes 2 simple steps.

Licor 43 being added to the shot glass.

Step 1: Bottom Layer. In a shot glass, pour the Licor 43 for the first layer. It should be a little over half filled.

Heavy whipping cream being poured on the back of a spoon to create the top layer.

Step 2: Top Layer. Using a stirring spoon, flip it over and make it touch the inside of the shot glass. The inverted spoon should be just above the first layer but not touching.

Slowly pour the heavy whipping cream over the spoon. Leave a little room at the top of the shot glass so that it doesn't spill over when serving.

Three shots on a table with a bottle.
