Christmas bundt cake recipes are what it's all about today. There's nothing like finishing up a Yuletide brunch with coffee and Bundt cake. It's the perfect fuel for the busy day ahead of unwrapping gifts, or prepping that turkey dinner!

    History of Bundt Cakes

The Bundt cake had its humble beginnings in Medieval Austria and is known in various regions as Gugelhupf, or Kugelhupf.
What makes the Bundt so versatile is the fact that the Bundt's only necessary ingredient is the unmistakable pan that creates a hole in the center and, more often than not, also has decorative fluted sides which give this cake its simple elegance.
The unique design makes the doughnut-shaped form rather ingenious, as more of the mixture touches the surface of the pan than it would with the hole-less variety. This allows for faster and more even heat distribution during the baking process.
