This Caramel Brownie with Peanut Butter is a perfect dessert to make first thing in the morning and serve in the evening! The wait is difficult but totally worth it. These brownies are full of everything I love.
My late friend Marcel made this almost every weekend. She could not help herself. She said she made this for the children but then she confessed, they were just the excuse and I now do the exact same thing!

Ingredients in Caramel Peanut Butter Brownies
- flour
- sugar
- cocoa powder
- salt
- baking powder
- butter
- eggs
- vanilla
- peanut butter chips
- toffee bits
- milk
Toppings
- whipped cream
- ice cream
- caramel or chocolate syrup
- raspberries or strawberries
How to make Caramel Peanut Butter Brownies
Place caramel bits in a small saucepan on medium-low.
Add milk and stir until all of the caramel bits are melted, approximately 5 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and stir until combined.
After 11 minutes, remove brownie from your oven and evenly distribute peanut butter chips on top.
Pour caramel sauce as evenly as possible over top of the peanut butter chips.
Pour remaining batter over top of caramel sauce.
Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until edges start to darken.
Remove from your oven and allow to totally cool, between 4 or 5 hours. Yes, that long. I have served it a little earlier but do your best to wait! It is totally worth it!
Serve with toppings of your choice and you will enjoy this dessert!

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup cocoa powder, unsweetened
- 1 cup butter, melted and cooled
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tblsp vanilla + 1 teaspoon
- 2 cups sugar
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 ¼ cups Reeses peanut butter chips
- 8 oz Chipits Skor or Heath Toffee Bits or 1 bag
- ½ cup milk
Toppings, if desired
- whipped or storebought whipped cream
- ice cream
- caramel or chocolate syrup
- raspberries or strawberries
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Prepare an 8 x 8 or 9 x 9 inch pan with cooking spray. Set aside.
- In a medium sized bowl melt butter in microwave and set aside.
- Combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, salt and baking powder in a large bowl. Set aside.
