This Sweet Soy Glazed Mushrooms and Onions dish is a wonderful change from traditional mushrooms and onions! A taste of Asia, the taste is truly divine.

Marcel, my friend who passed away recently, believed you should never stop trying new things.  She stumbled on this recipe for Sweet Soy Glazed Mushrooms and Onions somewhere and made her mushrooms and onions like this every time afterwards!

These mushrooms and onions are delicious!  She also used to say why try and fix something if it is not broken?  This became her favorite way to eat mushrooms and onions and it quickly became ours too!

After eating mushrooms and onions the same way for years and years it was nice to experience them in a different and delicious new way.  Just the right amount of every ingredient.

This dish is perfect as a vegetable side to accompany any meal.  You will love it served with steak or chicken and on sandwiches!  These mushrooms and onions work beautifully with practically everything.  Well, everything we have tried!

Feel free to add more garlic or ginger.  My best friend Julie puts so much more garlic in hers than we do.  She also adds less sugar.  I highly recommend trying the recipe as it is the first time and then deciding whether you want to add more garlic, ginger or sugar.

Your other option is to taste the mushrooms as you go and adjust accordingly to suit your personal tastes.  Hopefully, you will enjoy this recipe just as it is!
