Doritos Canada has turned a familiar late-night mess into a promotional product with a very specific job. Its new Crumb Couture loungewear set is being offered through a 7-Eleven Canada contest, pairing snack marketing with a playful answer to crumbs on bedsheets and couches.
The loungewear is built around crumbs

Doritos Crumb Couture is a limited-edition loungewear set designed to help contain crumbs while people snack, lounge and, in the brand's words, bed rot. Doritos Canada says the set includes strategically placed crumb-catching features meant to stop bits of chips before they spread onto furniture or clothing.
The company says the set was developed through research and development, prototype testing, and crumb simulations. Doritos also says details from fabric selection to the placement of the crumb catchers were chosen with that single purpose in mind, making the garment less of a novelty prop and more of a branded comfort item.
Carson Ting shaped the look

The set was created in collaboration with Carson Ting, a Vancouver-based street artist and illustrator. That detail gives the promotion a local creative angle and helps explain why the item is framed as a limited-edition piece rather than standard branded merchandise.
Ting's involvement also connects the product to a visual style beyond simple logo placement. Doritos did not outline the full design language in the announcement, but it clearly positioned the collaboration as part of the appeal, pairing the brand's bold image with an artist known for illustration and street-inspired work.
The contest runs through 7-Eleven Canada

Beginning October 28 and running until December 1, eligible customers can enter through 7Rewards for a chance to win one of 50 Doritos Crumb Couture sets. The promotion is available exclusively through participating 7-Eleven locations in Canada, which keeps the launch tied closely to convenience-store snacking.
To enter, shoppers need to buy a bag of participating Doritos tortilla chips at a participating 7-Eleven location and scan the 7-Eleven app. According to the announcement, the contest is open to Canadian residents in BC, AB, SK, MB and ON who are age of majority or older.
Doritos is targeting a late-night habit

PepsiCo Canada linked the idea directly to current snacking behavior, especially the casual, stay-in routine often associated with Gen Z. Lisa Allie, Senior Marketing Director, Core Brands, Foods, PepsiCo Canada, said the brand saw bed rotting become part of Gen Z culture and used that insight to build an unexpected but functional solution.
Her description makes the strategy clear: meet fans in moments they already enjoy, then give that moment a branded twist. In this case, the pain point is not finding a snack. It is the trail of crumbs that can come with eating chips under a blanket or on a couch late at night.
7-Eleven fits the promotion naturally

7-Eleven Canada is presented as more than a contest host. Marc Goodman, VP and GM 7-Eleven Canada, said the chain is where Canadians turn for their favourite snacks, whether they are on the go or settling in for the night, making the partnership a direct fit for the late-night occasion Doritos wants to own.
That matters because the promotion is built around routine purchases, not a separate special event. Buying a bag of participating Doritos chips and scanning the app ties the contest to the same convenience trip many customers already make, especially for evening snacks and quick comfort-food runs.
A new chip flavor rounds out the launch
The loungewear rollout arrives alongside a new product, Doritos Late Night Spicy Pizza flavoured tortilla chips. Doritos says the flavour is inspired by late-night comfort food and is available for a limited time at major grocery retailers nationwide and at participating 7-Eleven locations across Canada.
That pairing gives the campaign a neat close. One product speaks to the craving, and the other speaks to the mess that can follow. For Doritos Canada, Crumb Couture is less about fashion than about extending the brand's snack identity into a playful, photographable object people are likely to remember.
