This jalapeno powder is the easiest spice recipe you'll ever make, and it's so versatile. Powdered jalapeno can be added to almost anything to give it a kick of earthy heat.

I love spicy food, although not as spicy as my husband does. That's why I love adding powdered jalapeno to our dishes. I can add a little to the entire dish to add a touch of heat, and he can dump as much as he wants on his food to torture himself for some reason that I still don't understand.

    Powdered Jalapeno

This was inspired by this smoked jalapeno recipe. I loved the way the flavors concentrated when we smoked them, and I thought I'd give drying and powdering them a try too.

It worked out great. So great that I had to share it with you.

It's an easy spice to make and it pairs perfectly with practically everything. I especially love adding it to this amazing cheesebread or corn muffin recipe for a kick of heat.

Adding a teaspoon of powdered jalapeno is preferable to chopping the peppers up, in our opinion. The hint of jalapeno is everywhere. Not just when you bite into a pepper.

If you really enjoy all things jalapeno, you should check out this jalapeno mac and cheese, It's quite tasty and easy to make. When Halloween comes around, you can make these jalapeno popper mummies. Both kids and adults love them.

    Ingredients

It only takes one ingredient to make this ground jalapeno recipe. Talk about easy!
