This easy banana fudge is super rich, creamy, and banana-licious. It's so good that you'd think it took forever to make, but it's really ready in a flash!

Is there anything better than fudge? I certainly don't think so! I love all kinds of fudge, from cooked on the stove to no-bake varieties.

This particular fudge is exceptionally great because it's so rich and creamy, and it takes almost no effort to make it. Yay!

Why You Will Love this Recipe

    • It's rich and creamy - the perfect fudge.
    • It only takes a handful of ingredients to make.
    • It's loaded with banana flavor that's perfect for any occasion.

    Top Tip:

Fudge will taste great but be grainy if pudding mix does not dissolve. Microwaving the chocolate cools quickly so to avoid this issue use a double boiler or heavy bottomed saucepan on stove over medium heat. Add condensed milk and then pudding mix. Stir. Add chocolate about a cup at a time until mixture is smooth and STIR CONSTANTLY. This fudge can burn quickly and is thick OR USE BANANA EXTRACT INSTEAD.

    Ingredients

This recipe only takes 4 ingredients to make, and you'll find them all easily at the store, sugar free or not. Check out the recipe card at the end of the post for exact amounts.

    • White almond bark
    • Sweetened condensed milk
    • Banana pudding or banana extract
    • Vanilla wafers
Banana pudding ingredients on the table.

    Substitutions and Variations

    • Banana Pudding - Completely change the flavor of this fudge by using a different pudding mix.
    • Add-Ins - Try sprinkling the fudge with your favorite cookies. Almost any simple cookie will work. You can also make things fun by adding sprinkles.
    • White Almond Bark - Use white chocolate mixed with a couple of teaspoons of vegetable oil in place of the bark. If you need more information about using white chocolate please have a look here.
    • Sugar-Free - Use sugar-free sweetened condensed milk, sugar-free vanilla wafers, sugar-free pudding mix, and bark or chocolate sweetened with stevia.

    Instructions

This is a super simple recipe that anyone can make. The overview is below, but you can find the complete instructions in the recipe card at the end of the post.

1: Melt the white almond bark.

    Storage

Fridge: Store in the refrigerator in an air-tight container for up to 2 weeks.

Freezer: Store in the freezer for up to 3 months in an air-tight container.

    What to Serve with Fudge

This fudge is so good with a glass of milk or a cup of tea or coffee. It's also wonderful as part of a larger dessert table or a dessert bar with cookies, cupcakes, and other sweets.

    Tips

    • Fudge will taste great but be grainy if pudding mix does not totally dissolve. To avoid this use a double boiler or heavy bottomed saucepan on yop of your stove over medium heat. Add condensed milk and then pudding mix. Stir. Add chocolate about a cup at a time until mixture is smooth and STIR CONSTANTLY. This fudge can burn quickly and is thick. Dump into pan and refrigerate until set OR USE BANANA EXTRACT INSTEAD.
    • Be sure you mix the fudge very well. You can't overmix it, but you can undermix it.
    • This fudge is good after a couple of hours in the fridge, but it's great after chilling overnight!

    FAQ

Why do you use pudding in fudge?

Using pudding in fudge is perfect for no-cook fudge because it gives it a super rich and creamy texture.

How can I make this fudge different?

Simply change the pudding mix to change the flavor of the fudge entirely.

What kind of pudding do you use in fudge?

Instant pudding is used because it sets without being boiled.

    Equipment

    • Measuring cups and spoons
    • 8 x 8 inch cake pan
    • Aluminum foil or Parchment paper
    • microwave safe bowl
    • whisk
    • Rubber spatula
    • Sharp knife

    Ingredients

    • 24 oz white bark or stevia sweetened chocolate chips
    • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk or low carb sugar free sweetened condensed milk
    • 1 box (3.4 oz) Banana pudding or sugar free pudding or 1 - 1 ½ teaspoons banana extract.
    • 10 vanilla wafers, crushed or sugar free vanilla wafers

    Instructions

    • Prepare an 8x8-inch pan by lining it with aluminum foil or parchment paper.
    • Place white bark in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring often, until bark is completely melted.
    • Add sweetened condensed milk and banana pudding.
    • Pour mixture into your prepared pan.
    • Sprinkle crushed vanilla wafers over top. Gently push them down into the fudge.
    • Refrigerate fudge for 2 hours or until it is hardened.
    • Cut into pieces and serve.

    Notes

      • THE BEST WAY TO AVOID GRAINY FUDGE FROM THE PUDDING NOT DISSOLVING IS TO USE A DOUBLE BOILER OR SAUCEPAN OVER MEDIUM HEAT. STAND THERE THE ENTIRE TIME BECAUSE YOUR FUDGE WILL BURN QUICKLY. ADD CONDENSED MILK, PUDDING MIX AND STIR. ADD APPROXIMATELY ONE CUP OF CHOCOLATE AT A TIME UNTIL SMOOTH. ONCE CHOCOLATE IS MELTED DUMP MIXTURE INTO SQUARE PAN AND ALLOW TO SET IN FRIDGE OR USE BANANA EXTRACT INSTEAD OF PUDDING.
      • Be sure you mix the fudge very well. You can't overmix it, but you can undermix it.
      • This fudge is good after a couple of hours in the fridge, but it's great after chilling overnight!

I apologize for the delay in my response it was unavoidable. Use instant pudding in the 3.4 oz or 96 gram box. Hope you enjoy this fudge as much as we all do and I’m not too late. All the best. Karin
