1: Combine the wet French toast ingredients.
2: Soak the bread in the mixture until all has been absorbed.
3: Air fry until golden brown in a single layer inside your air fryer basket and serve immediately with maple syrup. These air fryer french toast bites are delicious.
Hint: Never use fresh bread. Always use stale or day-old bread because it absorbs moisture better for best results.

Air Fryer French Toast Bites
Equipment
Ingredients
- 6 slices white bread
- 3 large eggs
- ¾ cup whole milk
- 1 ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoon brown sugar
- Vegetable oil for cooking
Instructions
- Slice each piece of bread into 6 equal pieces and set aside.
- In a medium sized mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Whisk the ingredients until the mixture is homogenous and all the eggs have been beaten.
- Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes at 390 degrees Fahrenheit.
- While the air fryer is preheating, add the bread pieces to the egg mixture and fold gently until all of the bread pieces have been saturated by the egg mixture. Use a fork or your hands to remove the saturated bread pieces and place them on a large plate.
- Once the air fryer has preheated, coat the basket in vegetable oil and fill the basket with enough bread pieces to fill the basket without the bread touching. Cook for five minutes, or until golden brown.

- You do not need a lot of vegetable oil. You just need enough to lightly coat the basket of your air fryer. If you do not have vegetable oil, you can also use canola or coconut oil.
- These air fryer bites can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- Simply reheat them in the microwave when you are ready to serve them.
- Alternatively, you can store your leftovers in the freezer for up to 3 months and reheat them in the microwave until heated all the way through (about 1 minute)
- If you like more warm spices in your French toast, try adding 1 teaspoon of nutmeg and ½ teaspoon of cloves to your egg mixture.
- Texas toast tends to work best for French toast because it is so thick, but any bread will work just fine.
- The brown sugar gives the French toast a little extra sweetness, making them great with syrup or on their own.
- Using the air fryer instead of a pan for this recipe makes the clean-up easier and saves you some time. You will not have that fried exterior you usually see with French toast, but the French toast will cook to perfection and taste just about the same.
