Red Lobster is adding more October promotions across Canada, and the lineup covers both dine-in meals and family occasions. The month's offers include a Thanksgiving long weekend appetizer deal, new weekday specials, an updated Endless Shrimp option and a Halloween promotion for kids.

The month starts with a short, targeted deal timed to Thanksgiving weekend. From Oct. 9 through Oct. 12, guests dining in at participating Red Lobster restaurants across Canada can add a $3 individually sized appetizer to any entrée.

There are three choices in the offer. Guests can pick Island Coconut Shrimp, which comes with three hand-breaded jumbo coconut shrimp and piña colada sauce, Shrimp Cocktail with four premium jumbo shrimp and cocktail sauce, or Mozzarella Cheesesticks with four mozzarella sticks and marinara sauce.

The promotion is limited to one $3 appetizer per entrée purchased, and it is available for dine-in only. That makes it a straightforward add-on rather than a full meal discount, but it gives diners a low-cost way to sample another menu favourite during the holiday stretch.

    New weekday Daily Deals

Red Lobster is also refreshing its weekday Daily Deals with a set lineup running Monday through Friday. These limited-time offers are available at participating locations in Canada, though the company notes they are not available during select holidays.

Monday is Endless Shrimp for $36.99, with a choice from Garlic Shrimp, Shrimp Linguini Alfredo, Walt's Favourite Shrimp and Island Coconut Shrimp, served with one side. Tuesday brings the new Crab Lover's Duo for $34.99, pairing a half pound of steamed snow crab legs with Crab & Shrimp Linguini Alfredo.

Wednesday's Steak & Walt's costs $27.99 and includes a grilled sirloin, Walt's Favourite Shrimp and one side. Thursday is Salmon New Orleans for $29.99, featuring fresh salmon blackened and topped with shrimp in Cajun butter sauce and tomato-cilantro relish, while Friday's new Captain's Platter is $25.99 with garlic shrimp, popcorn shrimp, crispy fish and one side.

One of the most notable menu additions arrives on Oct. 13, when new OLD BAY® Garlic Shrimp joins the Canadian Endless Shrimp lineup. The addition brings the well-known seasoning blend into one of Red Lobster's most recognizable promotions.

Priced at $34.99, Endless Shrimp lets guests mix and match six flavours throughout the meal for as much shrimp as they like. The meal also includes a choice of one side and Red Lobster's Cheddar Bay Biscuits®.

The full lineup includes new OLD BAY® Garlic Shrimp, new Garlic Bread-Crusted Shrimp, Shrimp Linguini Alfredo, Garlic Shrimp, Island Coconut Shrimp and Walt's Favourite Shrimp. The offer is available for a limited time and is for dine-in only at participating locations, with shrimp flavours subject to availability.

A family offer for Halloween weekend

At the end of the month, Red Lobster shifts from seafood specials to a family promotion. From Friday, Oct. 30 through Sunday, Nov. 1, families in Canada can get free kids meals with the purchase of a full-price adult entrée.

For dine-in orders, one full-price adult entrée qualifies for up to two free kids meals when the children arrive dressed in costume. Red Lobster says the promotion is available at participating restaurants in both the U.S. and Canada, but the Canadian announcement focuses on families dining at Canadian locations.

There are limits worth knowing. The dine-in offer is capped at two free kids meals per table, and costume eligibility is determined by restaurant staff. The offer also cannot be combined with any other discount or promotion.

The To Go version of the Halloween deal

Families celebrating at home are included too, but the terms change slightly. For online To Go orders, guests can receive one free kids meal with the purchase of one full-price adult entrée by using the promo code SPOOKY26.

This version of the offer runs during the same Oct. 30 to Nov. 1 window. It applies only to online orders, not third-party delivery or catering, and the company says one coupon is valid per check.

Red Lobster also sets a price cap on the discount. The maximum discount is $9.99 per free kid's meal, and the To Go version provides one free kids meal per qualifying adult entrée, rather than up to two as in the dine-in costume offer.

What the October lineup says about the brand

Taken together, these offers show Red Lobster leaning into variety rather than a single headline discount. There is a low-priced appetizer promotion for a holiday weekend, a structured weekday value menu, a new flavour for a signature shrimp event and a family-centered Halloween offer.

The company framed the campaign around giving guests more reasons to choose Red Lobster when getting together. Chief Marketing Officer Andy Pitts said the goal this October is to offer more value and choice, with some fun built in, while staying centered on the food, flavour and hospitality guests expect.

For diners, the practical takeaway is timing. Some deals are dine-in only, like the $3 appetizers and Endless Shrimp, while others also extend to To Go, so the best value depends on the day and how people plan to eat.
