A Brown Sugar Bacon Green Bean Bundle.

Brown Sugar Bacon Green Bean Bundles are delicious as a vegetable side or appetizer.

We ate them at a friends house a few years ago and I have been making them ever since. I can't make them fast enough for Ken. He devours them.

I love the way the bacon tastes with the butter, garlic and brown sugar. The flavors are perfect together with the green beans. It is true bacon makes everything taste better.

Ingredients in Brown Sugar Bacon Green Bean Bundles

    • bacon slices
    • butter
    • green beans
    • brown sugar
    • salt
    • garlic powder

How to make Brown Sugar Bacon Green Bean Bundles

Preheat an oven to 350ยฐF. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or tinfoil and cooking spray.

Clean and trim green beans. Boil for 3-5 minutes, until bright green.

In a large fry pan cook the bacon strips until the slices are beginning to cook but are still very underdone and pliable, 4 to 6 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel.

In a small bowl, combine the butter, salt and garlic powder.

Divide the green beans into equal portions, about 6 beans each.

On a large cutting board lay bacon slices down flat.

Paint or smear butter mixture on each slice of bacon, sprinkle with brown sugar.

Place each portion into a neat bunch and wrap the slice of bacon tightly around the center to hold the beans together.

Place the bundles on the prepared baking sheet with the loose ends of the bacon on the bottom.

Use toothpicks if you need to.

Sprinkle more brown sugar on top of the bundles.

Bake until the bacon is cooked through, 20-25 minutes.

    Serve immediately.
