Ingredients for Air Fryer Cinnamon Raisin Bagels
- 1 ¼ cups self-rising flour
- ½ cup raisins
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar, packed
- 1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
- pinch of fine sea salt
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- splash of water
- olive oil spray
How to Make Air Fryer Cinnamon Raisin Bagels
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F. In a large bowl, stir together the flour, raisins, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Add the Greek yogurt and vanilla, stir it in to form a loose dough. Turn it out on a floured clean work surface and knead it until it forms a ball, the dough will be sticky, that’s okay.
- Divide the dough into four sections, roll them into balls. Working with one dough ball at a time, roll it into a log about 8-9 inches long. Pinch the ends together to form a circle, repeat with the remaining dough.
- In a small bowl whisk together the egg and water.
- Spray the basket of the air fryer with olive oil spray, or you can use a parchment paper insert. Lay the bagels into the air fryer, not touching, you will need to cook in batches.
- Brush the egg wash all over the tops of the bagels. Cook for 8-10 minutes until the bagels are golden brown on top.
Notes:
- Olive oil spray is used because it doesn’t leave a residue in the air fryer.
- These are literally the best bagels I’ve ever tasted. They have a perfect bagel chew and are bursting with cinnamon and sugar, with a subtle sweetness from the brown sugar. These pair perfectly with plain cream cheese for a tangy contrast, or for more of a sweet treat, you can use whipped honey and walnut cream cheese.
I had a lot of fun making these air fryer cinnamon raisin bagels and they are so delicious! They’re crispy on the outside, soft in the middle with lots of gooey cinnamon sugar. It doesn't get much better than that. Let me know what you think by leaving your comments below.
