How to make Quick and Easy Homemade Pizza in One Hour

    Dough

If using regular yeast dissolve sugar in very warm tap water, sprinkle yeast on top and set aside for 10 minutes. Then add vegetable oil to yeast and put 2 cups of flour and salt in the bowl. Mix with a fork.

For quick rising yeast combine 2 cups of flour with all of the dry ingredients. Add liquids to dry and stir well with a fork.

Add more flour to make a sticky ball of solid dough. Turn out onto a floured surface and knead for 5 minutes. Do not skimp on kneading time. Flour often and repeat for the full 5 minutes. Form dough into 4 round balls, if you are using four 8 or 9 inch cake pans, or, 2 balls of dough if you are using two 13x9 inch pans. Cover dough with a warm, damp towel and let stand for 10 minutes.

    The Best Pizza Sauce

In a small bowl combine tomato paste, garlic, onions and seasoning. Make the sauce as bland or as spicy as you wish. For a thinner sauce add a teaspoon or so of water. Set aside.

    Prepare to make your pizza

Grease four 8 or 9 inch cake pans or two 13x9 inch pans well. Take your dough and roll, knead and stretch it into the shape of your pans. Pat dough down in your pans and flip over so the top of your dough is greased as well. If dough isn't greased on top when flipped over you can either repeat this step or, using a brush, lightly grease the top of your dough. We always use olive or another vegetable oil to grease these pans. Cover with a warm, damp towel for 20 minutes.

    Prepare your pizza

Grate your cheese first as slightly dried cheese makes it nice and gooey when melted. Chop all of your vegetables and prepare any meat you are using. If you are using ground beef, sausage or bacon you will need to chop and cook it first. We create a work station with little bowls of toppings so everyone can make their own. Paint on some sauce on and then sprinkle on some cheese. Add your favorites. Try different things. Instead of making the sauce out of tomato paste we have used a small jar of store bought alfredo sauce, some leftover cooked chicken, cheese, peppers, onions and mushrooms. Next time I want to try that pizza with bacon too! Have some fun and experiment with different cheeses as well. You are only limited by your imagination! Preheat your oven to 450 degrees and prepare each of your pizzas, just the way you like them!

Bake for 15 minutes and the cheese is bubbling. Broil for a minute to brown your cheese if you desire. Serve and enjoy!
