Garlic Cheddar Chicken is so easy and doesn't everyone love garlic butter, cheese and some spices with chicken? Fast and fabulous!

This Garlic Cheddar Chicken is so delicious!  I was shocked the first time I was told you could dip chicken in garlic butter and then I never imagined it could taste this good.

You can grate extra cheddar and mix it into the breadcrumb mixture and some will love this chicken dish more, I do!  I don't do it every time I make this, but I try to as often as I can!  It's a terrible thing to say but I definitely cannot get enough cheese it seems on anything!

You can also  substitute oregano or basil instead of the Italian seasoning and this recipe turns out great every time!  I tend to use whichever one I find first.  They all taste great!

Sometimes I just buy a stick of melted butter just to save some time!  No matter which way you do it this chicken is a fabulous and easy dinner idea. I know you will make this Garlic Cheddar Chicken again and again, just like I do!

    Ingredients for Garlic Cheddar Chicken

    • chicken breasts
    • shredded cheese
    • butter
    • garlic
    • crumbs
    • parmesan
    • Italian seasoning, basil or oregano
    • salt
    • pepper

How to make Garlic Cheddar Chicken

Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat, and cook the garlic until tender, about 5 minutes.

In a shallow bowl or plate, mix the bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning or oregano or basil, pepper, and salt.  If you are in the mood, grate about ½ cup of cheddar and mix it into the breadcrumb mixture.

Dip each chicken breast in the garlic butter to coat, then press into the bread crumb mixture.

Arrange the coated chicken breasts on your prepared rack and drizzle breasts with any remaining butter and top with any remaining bread crumb mixture if desired.

Bake and add cheddar cheese on top of each breast.

Bake again until cheese is melted and juices run clear.
