This recipe for Balsamic Orange Maple Glazed Chicken is a definite keeper!  It is very easy to make and is jam packed with flavor!

We eat chicken quite often around my house.  I am constantly looking for new and flavorful recipes to try.  It is very easy to get stuck in the same recipe over and over rut.  We made this Balsamic Orange Maple Glazed Chicken recipe last night and it tasted so good we just had to share it with you!

This is not your same old chicken recipe.  This chicken is packed full of delicious flavors.  Thankfully the recipe is pretty simple to execute.  This would be a great meal for a busy weeknight.

The flavor is all in the glaze! The trick is to reduce the glaze so you get all that flavor intensified. Another vital step in the recipe is to keep basting the chicken as it bakes.  This ensures that the flavors are spread evenly and the chicken does not dry out.

It is so versatile that the flavors go with just about any side dish. We served it with a salad and some roasted vegetables.

This chicken can be used in so many ways.  The next time I make it I think I will double it so that I can use the leftovers.  The first time around we ate every bite! I am just thinking how delicious this would be sliced in a salad.  It would also make a delicious wrap for a quick lunch!  The possibilities truly are endless.

Ingredients in Balsamic Orange Maple Glazed Chicken

    • chicken breasts
    • orange juice
    • maple syrup
    • balsamic vinegar
    • yellow or dijon mustard
    • salt
    • pepper

How to make Balsamic Orange Maple Glazed Chicken

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Prepare a rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray.

Place chicken breasts on your prepared pan.

In a small saucepan, over medium to medium high heat, combine orange juice, maple syrup, balsamic vinegar, Dijon or yellow mustard, ½ teaspoon salt and ½ teaspoon pepper.

Bring mixture to a boil and simmer until liquid is reduced to 1 cup, about 7 minutes.

Add basil and orange peel. Remove from the heat and set aside.

Coat chicken with remaining salt and pepper.

Bake in oven for 45 minutes, basting as frequently as possible. We try and baste about every 10 minutes. Totally worth it! Serve and enjoy!
