- standard bag of microwave popcorn, or equivalent
- ½ cup butter, melted or 1 stick
- ½ cup white cake mix
- 1 ½ cup white chocolate, melted
- 2 tablespoons sprinkles or sparkles of your choice or more if you want
- ½ cup white chocolate pretzels homemade or store bought
- ¼ cup M&M’s
If you're like me and hate biting down on the unpopped popcorn, I recommend that you dump your popped popcorn onto a rimmed baking sheet. This way you can remove the excess kernels and avoid anyone breaking a tooth. Your other option is a trick I learned years ago I was taught this trick to dump all of your popped popcorn onto a cooling rack or grate and watch the kernels fall right through all of the holes! So much simpler than picking through your popcorn one piece a a time!
Toss popcorn with melted butter, then sprinkle cake mix all over your popcorn and toss until coated.
Drizzle the white chocolate, as evenly as possible, all over the popcorn.
Toss again until the popcorn is completely covered with the chocolate.
Pour coated popcorn out onto a rimmed sheet pan, spread out and separate pieces into smaller chunks.
Add sprinkles, pretzels, and M&Ms
Allow to dry or set on baking sheet on your counter for about 2 hours (although you can start munching after 15 minutes). This popcorn must be dry or set before you place it in an airtight container. Serve as desired and enjoy!
